AT OLD TRAFFORD 58 Single sheet Manchester United programme for match at Old Trafford between Manchester County FA and Northumberland FA , 22/3/58. The United first team were playing Fulham in the FA Cup Semi-Final the same day and the scores from the game would be announced regularly. Printed in black, probably because it was only six weeks after the tragedy at Munich. Slight fold. Good
LEITH - ALLOA 1948 Rare Leith Athletic four page programme v Alloa Athletic, 14/2/48. Although Leith programmes are very scarce, we had a different copy of this programme a couple of auctions ago and the hammer price was £340. This has pulled out another Leith programme, by coincidence the same game. Condition is generally good-good as there is a slight fold and very slight (insignificant) marks. Generally good-good

Most are good. Generally good
HAYNES - ENGLAND CAP England cap awarded to Johnny Haynes for the 1962 World Cup game v Brazil in Vina del Mar, Chile. England lost 3-1 and went out of the World Cup. Haynes was captain and this was his final England appearance. Blue Cap with Three Lions badge, silver tassel and match details on peak. Good
HAYNES - ENGLAND Red England shirt worn by Johnny Haynes, number 8 on reverse in tangerine/orange. England played in red against Austria in 1961, Peru 62 and red was the change strip for the 62 World Cup in Chile.. Haynes however was number 10 in all those games but he was number 8 when England played West Germany in Berlin , 26/5/56, winning 3-1 and Haynes scored one of the goals. England wore red on this occasion and the shirt made by Umbro could well be from this game as the Tangeru Umbro label was appropriate for this time. Good
HAYNES - LUXEMBOURG Scarce Luxembourg International red shirt, number 10 on reverse and exchanged with Johnny Haynes after England defeated Luxembourg 9-0 , 19/10/60 in Luxembourg. Haynes scored one of the goals in the World Cup Qualifier but did not play in the return match at Highbury. Haynes was England captain in this game. The shirt is red, long sleeved with Luxembourg badge on left breast. The number 10 is in white on the reverse. It is likely that the shirt was worn by J.P.Mertl (US Luxembourg). Good
HAYNES - RUSSIA Red shirt with letters CCCP in white at the base of the collar in the centre. Exchanged with England player, Johnny Haynes. Long-sleeved , all red collar and sleeves, button up collar (white buttons). Number 10 on the reverse the "0" being slightly longer than the "1". Johnny Haynes made four appearances against USSR, 18/5/58 in Moscow, 8/6/58 in Gothenburg and 17/6/58 in Gothenburg (these were both World Cup games) and 22/10/58 when Haynes scored a hat-trick in a 5-0 England victory. The Russian number 10 in May 58 was Y. Falin (Moscow Torpedo) who was also number 10 in the World Cup play-off game, 17/6/58. In the group game, 8/6/58, S.Salnikov (Spartak Moscow) was number 10 and in the game at Wembley, 22/10/58, A.Mamedov (Dinamo Moscow) was the number ten and we feel that he was the most likely wearer of the shirt as the Soviets did wear long-sleeved shirts in this game whilst the games in Sweden and Moscow were all played in Summer and the Soviets seem to have worn short sleeve shirts in those games. Generally good
HAYNES - WALES 57/8 Wales International shirt exchanged with Johnny Haynes after the 57/8 match between Wales and England, 19/10/57 at Ninian Park, Cardiff. England won the game 4-0 with Haynes scoring twice. The shirt is red with white "V" neck collar and white trim to bottom edge of the short sleeves. Wales badge on left breast with "v England 1957-58" embroidered above the crest. White number 4 on reverse and it is likely that the shirt was worn by Bill Harris of Middlesbrough FC who played six times for Wales . Good
HAYNES - PELE-BRAZIL Yellow number 10 Brasil / Brazil shirt exchanged with Johnny Haynes by Pele. Short sleeved shirt with label reading "Ceppo" with "Malhas" just above Ceppo and "S.Paulo" just below. Green collar and green trim to the yellow short sleeves. Brasil badge on left breast , shield shaped with "CBD" in blue against a white across against a background of blue quarters and a green cross with yellow borders. The reverse has the number 10 in green. Johnny Haynes played against Brazil four times , in 1956 at Wembley, 1958 in the World Cup at Gothenburg, 1959 at the Maracana and 1962 in the World Cup at Vina del Mar, Chile which England lost 3-1. Pele only played in one of these games, the 1959 game as he was injured during the 1962 World Cup and did not play against England. The vendor informs us that the shirt was given to them by Johnny who stated that he had obtained it from Pele and they are of the opinion that Haynes obtained it at the 1962 World Cup as although not playing due to injury, Pele was a part of the squad and Haynes as England captain is likely to have had first choice as to who he exchanged his shirt with. The shirt is in the style worn by Brazil at the 1962 World Cup and is the style worn by them in the late 50s, early 60s and could also be from the 1959 game. Good
HAYNES - SCOTTISH LEAGUE Blue Scottish Football League long - sleeved shirt exchanged with Johnny Haynes after the 1955-56 Scottish League v Football League International, 26/10/55 at Hillsborough. The English League won the game 4-2. the blue long-sleeved shirt has number 4 in white on the back and was worn by Evans of Celtic who probably had the job of marking Haynes. The label states "Umbro Tangeru" with a second label stating "The Sportsman's Emporium Ltd, St Vincent Street, Glasgow". There is a yellow and red Scottish Football league badge on left breast stating match details and 1955-56. White collar. Good
HAYNES - ENGLAND Shirt cloth badge for England v Hungary 1954, probably the first time that Haynes wore an England shirt although he did not play in the game, 23/5/54 in Budapest which England lost 7-1. Haynes was a travelling reserve and was also an unused reserve in the three games at the 1954 World Cup which followed shortly afterwards in June 54. Match details and Three Lions featured. Good
