Two Italian weekly football newspapers "Guerin Sportivo" dated 22 and 29 May 1961, 22 May issue was available to buy on the day of the Final and previews the game and includes a review of the first leg in Glasgow played the week before 29 May issue reviews the Final . 22 May issue has two small cuttings taken from the back with slight ageing. Rare official Real Madrid revista "Extraordnario" edition previewing the match. Includes Celtic pen pictures and team line-ups. This was an extra edition of the Real Madrid monthly revista dedicated entirely to the remarkable career of Di Stefano and is regarded as the programme for this game. Good

1908 CHARITY SHIELD - MAN UTD Eight page Chelsea programme issued to cover the 1908 Charity Shield , Manchester United v Queens Park Rangers at Chelsea, 29/8/1908. This was the first ever year that the Charity Shield was held and it took place between the Winners of the Football League (Manchester United) and the winners of the Southern League (QPR). The first match, also at Chelsea finished in a 1-1 draw , held on 27/4/1908. After much debate , it was decided to replay the match and United won the replay 4-0. This programme is for the replay and also covers Chelsea v Preston the following Tuesday 1/9/1908. Eight page issue , not ex bound volume but an original issue , in good condition . There are a few marks but no writing and the marks are insignificant. This programme is especially significant as it is for the first game in which the Charity Shield was won and it is a scarce programme. Generally good

ANDERLECHT - MANCHESTER UTD 1956 Official programme for the first ever European Cup game played by an English Club, Anderlecht v Manchester United, 12/9/56 in Brussels, , twenty page issue including covers, no writing, fold, minor foxing to cover. United won 2-0 and then overwhelmed Anderlecht 10-0 in the return at Maine Road as Old Trafford did not have floodlights at the time. Generally good

Some faults . Fair-generally good

Includes large programme style team line-ups set out in pitch diagram format to the front cover with previews inside and has the England teams pen pictures to the back cover etc. No official programme was produced for this game. CRYSTAL PALACE-COVENTRY 1936 Crystal Palace home programme v Coventry, 29/2/1936, Division 3 South, rather unusual as the cover originally stated the game as being against Torquay and details of the visitors relates to Torquay, however, the Football League, rather strangely, switched the fixtures at a late stage and deemed that Palace should play Coventry and not Torquay. Line-ups show Coventry. Rusty staples otherwise good. Generally good

Official Bologna "FORZA BOLOGNA!" monthly club revistas dated June and July 1967. June edition previews the Mexican tournament and the July edition reviews the tournament and includes full team line-ups for the Sheffield Wednesday game. Generally good
BOLOGNA - MAN CITY 1970 Trophy presented to Ken Mulhearn for the League Cup Winners Cup game, Bologna v Manchester City 2/9/70. The trophy has a match inscription and consists of a Greek God type figute with a trident in his hand. Metal, on a plinth and measures approximately 6 inches. Bologna won 1-0 and drew 2-2 in Manchester in the return game. This Cup played between the Football League Cup Winners of Italy and England was rather short-lived. Ken Mulhearn was reserve keeper for the game. Good

Darwen played in red and white shirts so Arsenal played in white shirts and black shorts. Score, scorers noted as Bastin scored 4 and Jack 3. Folds, slight creasing. Fair-generally good
