SWITZERLAND- FA TOUR 1945 Three press photographs taken at the Switzerland v English FA game played 21/7/45 in Berne. Organised to celebrate the Swiss FA 50th anniversary, the FA played under the name of FA Services XI and were represented by Swift, Scott, Hardwick, Soo, Franklin, Mercer, Finney, Brown, Lawton, Hunt and Smith. One shows Mercer shaking hands at the toss, the other two are match action. Switzerland won 3-1. Approx 4 " x 6". Good

AUTOGRAPHS Unusual item, a pirate programme for Tottenham v Preston 67/8, Cup which has been autographed on the pen pictures of top players profiles (very few of whom were relevant to the game) by Best, Greaves, Ray Wilson, Milne, Bobby Moore, Connelly, Cohen, Law, Bobby Charlton, Waiters, Stiles, Eastham, Joe Baker, Jack Charlton and Thompson. RUGBY UNION -WALES / ENGLAND 1995 Two fold over cards one signed by 21 of the Welsh squad for the game v England 18/2/95 in Cardiff , the other is signed by 21 England players + manager Jack Rowell. England won 23-9. Welsh signatures include Evans, Davies, Lewis, Moon, Robert Jones etc whilst England signatures include Carling, Andrew, Richards, Johnson, Guscott, Underwood etc. Very good

1968/69 FAIRS CUP Athletic Bilbao v Liverpool played 18 September 1968 at Estadio San Mames, Bilbao. The daily Spanish football magazine/newspaper ''DICEN'' dated 18 September 1968 which previews the game and includes team line-ups. No programme was produced for this game - Reserve. Generally good
SOUTHPORT - BLACKPOOL 1939 Scarce wartime programme, Southport v Blackpool, 18/11/1939, the match was a North-West Regional League game which was quickly established after national football was suspended due to the outbreak of the Second World War. ARSENAL A player / officials card for the Amateurs v Professionals match played at Highbury on 30 Mar 1925. This was the match that was known as the off-side Law Experimental match, which had great consequences for the game. It comes together with a compliments slip from G. Wagstaffe Simmons the Vice Chairman of Tottenham, who was in charge of the member selection committee. Players from Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Millwall, Crystal Palace, Clapton Orient, Reading, Watford, Brighton and Northampton were selected to play for the Professionals. Interestingly one of the linesman was a certain SF Rous of Hertfordshire later to become President of FIFA. Generally good

Two similar cane ware pie dishes, covers, stands and one liner: of rounded rectangular form the dishes and stands with osier moulding the covers moulded with hares and dead game on a bed of ferns with a rustic handle and the smaller companion similarly decorated but with a hare knop, stands 22 cm long, dishes 21.5 and 17, [the latter cover restored].
