A group of carved stone cylinder seal comprising: small black with two seated figures at a small table, possibly playing a game, surrounded by trees; yellow with a seated goddess(?"). and two attendants at her throne, sun symbol above one attendant; brown with two lines, upper line with leaf-shape decoration, lower line with seven-armed star; black with a 'tree of life' and two antelopes; large black with a cuneiform inscription, seated figure of a god holding a sceptre facing standing attendant and a small knee-bent naked figure; dark grey with a line of cuneiform inscription and geometric decoration. 41.36 grams total, 17-35mm (3/4 - 1 1/2"). A Victorian oak three bottle tantalus/games compendium The silver plate mounted hinged top with mirrored interior fitted with a cribbage board and two liqueur glasses enclosing three cut glass decanters and stoppers, three silver plated game counter dishes and a sprung fitted drawer, the similarly mounted fall front housing a silver plated presentation tray and a fitted drawer, the tray inscribed Presented to D. Riddiough Esq (President) on his marriage by the members of the Bradford and West Riding of Yorkshire Columbarian Society, Aug.st. 31 1892, the lock plate stamped Fattorini & Sons, Bradford. 36.5 cm wide overall. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, expected wear, some nibbles/nicks to decanters, some gaming elements possibly lacking, some rubbing to plate.

Flying Tiger Joe Roberts AVG 6 Aerial Victories Signed 25 cents US Mail Postage Stamp Honolulu 1976 FDC. The Flying Tigers, "American Volunteer Group" (AVG) flew for China in early 1942 and achieved great success against the Japanese. They flew 100 Curtis Warhawk P-40's, complete with the famous red shark mouth.The American public reeling from Pearl Harbor were anxious to strike back "NOW!" The Flying Tigers were "the only game in town" at that point and the only Americans doing ANYTHING ANYWHERE against the Japanese. The Flying Tigers comprised three squadrons namely: "Adam and Eves", "Panda Bears and "Hell's Angels". Colonel Chennault developed the basic fighter tactics that American pilots would use throughout WW-2. He highlighted Interception, diving pass, no dogfighting and diving when in trouble. This remained the fundamental U.S. fighter doctrine throughout the Pacific War. Good condition. All items come with a Certificate of Authenticity and can be shipped worldwide.
