Flying Tiger Joe Roberts AVG 6 Aerial Victories Signed 25 cents US Mail Postage Stamp Honolulu 1976 FDC. They flew 100 Curtis Warhawk P-40's, complete with the famous red shark mouth. The American public reeling from Pearl Harbor were anxious to strike back "NOW!" The Flying Tigers were "the only game in town" at that point and the only Americans doing ANYTHING ANYWHERE against the Japanese. The Flying Tigers comprised three squadrons namely: "Adam and Eves", "Panda Bears and "Hell's Angels". Colonel Chennault developed the basic fighter tactics that American pilots would use throughout WW-2. He highlighted Interception, diving pass, no dogfighting and diving when in trouble.
