VÍCTOR CAMPÓN (Extremadura, 1978)."Golf player", 2020.Polyvalent electro fusion in patinated steel. Natural stone base with moss. Unique piece.Enclosed certificate issued by the artist.Signed on the base.Size: 59 x 23 x 27 cm; 10 x 16 x 27 cm (base).Through the steel the artist presents us with a silhouette, which evokes a human figure holding up a golf club with one of his hands. It is worth highlighting the presence of the base, which forms an indisputable part of the piece. A natural stone covered with moss, which evokes nature and its tactile values.Víctor Campón's interest in art began in his childhood. Immersed in an artistic family environment, his father was the artist's first point of reference. Don Juan Antonio Campón, a sculptor and taxidermist, was the one who passed on to him his love for nature and the study of it. As Víctor Campón points out; "From a very early age I was lucky enough to enjoy nature with my father, while, as if it were a game, he guided me along the path of art, so the "culprit" of all artistic talent is my father". This interest in art led Víctor to graduate with a degree in Fine Arts, earning his doctorate in 2009 and furthering his training with a Master's degree in the Environment. In his maturity, he took up again the trips to natural landscapes that he used to make with his father, inspired by one of his references: Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente. Always linked to wildlife, Víctor Campón's experiences, both in Argentina and Africa, have been a period of artistic relevance in his career, giving him a broad cultural knowledge that he applies in his artistic works, which reflect a harmony between science and nature. Throughout his artistic career, he has held numerous exhibitions of his work, among which the following stand out; The Annual Dinner of the Safari Club Catalunya, Barcelona (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005), the Hunting and Nature Fair of Cornellá (2004), the Hunting and Nature Fair of Yansá (2004), the Hunting Fair, FEVAL in Badajoz (2004, 2005), the Hunting and Fishing Fair, Palau de Fires, in Gerona (2006), the Hunting Fair, FICAR, in Madrid (2007) and the Hunting Fair, Expocaça, in Santarem-Portugal (2007). He is currently represented in numerous international collections, in countries such as Portugal, Germany, Italy, Algeria, the United States, Spain, Argentina and France.
