A 1968/69 restored and polished Strand PATT 23N MK2 studio lamp converted to use standard Edison bulbs.It was originally designed in Covent Garden, London at the Strand headquarters in the 1950s. This light was used on the set of Channel 4’s ‘Draw it’ game show, hosted by Mel Gledroyc. The light sits upon a 1950’S Paillard Bolex Tripod H. This model, constructed entirely of aluminium, was introduced in 1959. The first head supplied with this tripod included a "plug-on" style platform. This version weighs approximately 8 lbs. and 6 ounces, with an extended height of 61" or 37" when retracted.
A 1950’S Hollywood Movie Studio ‘Keg’ Lamp B Bardwell And McAlister Inc. of Hollywood, CA, converted to use standard Edison bulbs as a standing lamp. B&M Keg Light with 6 inch Fresnel lens. Completely refurbished, while still keeping its vintage look intact. Disassembled, stripped, refinished, rewired and mounted onto an adjustable chrome stand. This lamp was originally from MGM studios in Hollywood although there is no documentation of provenance. This light was used on the set of Channel 4’s ‘Draw it’ game show, hosted by Mel Gledroyc.
