* Panchal (Shanti, 1951-). The African Game, watercolour on paper, signed, 73 x 54cm (28.75 x 21.25ins), framed and glazed, with Edwin Coe label to verso. Shanti Panchal was born in Gujarad in India, and studied art in Bombay, and later at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, on a British Council Scholarship, and now lives and works in London. His work has been widely exhibited in India and the UK, including a touring solo exhibition entitled Private Myths organised by the Pitshanger Manor Gallery in 2000. * Wardle (Arthur, 1864-1949). Wild ponies on Exmoor, oil on board, signed with initials lower left, 26 x 38cm (10.25 x 15ins), framed. Arthur Wardle (1864-1949), a self-taught sporting artist, best known for his images of hunting dogs, exhibited at the Royal Academy and the New Society of Painters in Watercolours. His first one-man exhibition was held at the Fine Art Society in 1931. Sporting subjects include `Grouse Shooting`, `An Otter Hunt on the Moors`, `Shetland Ponies`, as well as studies of big game.
