George Armfield (British, 1808-1893) Terriers ratting; and A liver and white spaniel gazing at game on a stone ledge signed lower right "G Armfield" oil on canvas (a pair) 75 x 62cm (29 x 24in) Provenance: From a Hertfordshire country house. Both very dirty and with various bumps. Old stretcher bar marks can be seen from the front. Craquelure overall. Darkened and degraded coating/varnish on the surface of the paint layer making the composition difficult to read. . Dirt and white drips across the surface. Frames have been repainted with brown paint and have several areas of loss to decorative composite and gilding. The spaniel has a hole by his paws, approx 2in by 2in in size., L-shaped

Winner's Medal: Olympic Games 1972 Munich - Silver medal of the Olympic Games in Munich 1972 for East German gymnast Erika Zuchold on women's Vault. Designed by G. Cassioli and G. Marcks. Silver (169 grams); 6.6 cm with original chain. In original plastic case (17x17x2,8 cm) with printed Olympic emblem. Medal with original edge engraving "Zuchold, Erika" and "Turnen Pferdsprung Frauen". Plus Original silver medal's silver pin of the Olympic Summer game Munich 1972 for the winner of the second place. Silver plated bronze, 1.2x1.2 cm. These pins were awarded to the medallists in addidtion to their medals. Extremely rare. Original Olympic silver medal for the second place at the Olympic Games in Munich 1972. Includes 1) Original cardboard slipcase with medal, 2) IOC winner pin for this medal numbered "5163" which was awarded to Erika Zuchold retrospectively in the 1990ies. Erika Zuchold, née Barth, (born 19th March 1947 in Lucka, district of Altenburg) is a former East German gymnast. She won four silver medals and one bronze medal for East Germany at Olympic Games. Zuchold became universally known for being the first woman to compete the flick-flack element on balance beam on the 7th June 1964. At the World Championships in 1970 she won gold at Vault and Balance Beam and silver in the Individual All-Round. She was sportswoman of the same year in East Germany. She quit her career after the Olympic Games in 1972. PLEASE NOTE: in case we register a bidding for the complete collection of Erike Zuchold (see lot number 1), this item will be withdrawn and attached to lot number 1.
TOTTENHAM - JOHN WHITE A EPNS plated "Bon-Bon" (dish) , inscribed "John White Memorial Match, Tottenham Hotspur v Scotland XI, 11/11/64". Presented to players and officials. Also included is a programme for the game which took place after Spurs inside forward John White lost his life due to being hit by lightning whilst on a golf course. Slightly tarnished on the reverse but otherwise good. Generally good

Large gold coloured Portugal FA medal attached to the keyring with Portugal FA inscription and motto on one side and World Cup 66 Inglaterra inscription on the other side. Comes with the Lisbon manufacturer bag. Good

BRASIL - ENGLAND ITINERARY Scarce Brazil itinerary issued for the game v England, June 1969, small six page booklet, lists the events to take place between the arrival on June 9th and departure on June 13th. The itinerary lists the England players and officials and has a drawing of the Maracana Stadium. It has been signed in ink by Gordon Banks. Brazil won the game 2-1. Good
MAN UTD TREBLE - SHERINGHAM Six colour real photographs , each measuring approx 12" x 8", and each shows Sheringham , one shows him holding the FA Cup aloft at Wembley, one shows him holding it with Scholes on the pitch (signed by Scholes), and another shows him scoring in the Final v Newcastle, the other three are from the Champions League Final v Bayern and show Sheringham celebrating after scoring, another is of match action and the third shows him balancing the Trophy on his head after the game on the pitch. Good
RED STAR - MAN UTD 58 Official programme, Red Star Belgrade v Manchester United , 5/2/58, European Cup. After earning a 03-Mar draw which took them through to the Semi-Finals, the Babes were tragically involved in the Munich Air Disaster after stopping for re-fuelling on the return journey at Munich and crashing on take-off. This programme is for the final game that many of the Babes played. The programme is in good condition with no writing, one staple is very slightly rusted but is not really a fault and there is a photocopy of a letter written by a lady from the British Embassy in Belgrade describing some of the United players at an official reception held for them there after the match. Good
MAN UTD 57-58 Collection of 28 home programmes, 57-58, missing Cup game v Sheffield Wed and the postponed match v Wolves. Includes Charity Shield v Aston Villa (no token) and European games v Shamrock Rovers (poor-fair), Dukla, Red Star and AC Milan plus FA Cup v Ipswich and West Brom. Only three of the programmes have tokens removed and there are no team changes. Some other defects such as folds, creases etc. Fair-generally good

Scarce item, has a message on the back which is signed "Jack" and could have been written by Jack Carr. Good
