A 19th century old Sheffield plated counter box and twenty-four counters, the counters marked Thomason patent, the box of cylindrical form, reeded girdles, the cover inscribed `Mathews on the game of whist`, the twenty four counters marked one one side with the same statement and the over side has a different instruction, height 5cm.
