Von Neumann worked on the Manhattan Project during WWII.  A good T.L.S., `John von Neumann´, one page, 4to, Washington, 30th January 1956, on the printed stationery of the « United States Atomic Energy Commission », to Henri Corbiere. Neumann responds to his correspondent´s invitation to participate in the homage to French Mathematician Jacques Hadamard, and states in part `I have been hospitalized for several weeks, and I expect i twill be several more weeks before I can get back to my office. The list of fifteen scores appears to be mainly attributed to Doyle himself, signing his initials ('ACD') on two occasions in the left column. Two other names appear in the left column, including that of 'Malcolm', presumably Doyle's youngest son.
