NORWICH.` (shortened, right wall thickness well below recommended minimum), 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, action incorporating Jeffries patent 7895 of 1885 (fore-end missing ejector mechanism), carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks, grip safety (requires attention), the lockplates engraved with scenes of dogs flushing game surrounded with fine scrollwork, the action and furniture engraved with fine scrollwork, the fore-end iron engraved en-suite, fore-end wood with insert repair at the knuckle, 14 3/4in. figured stock inset with Henry Holland patent 5962 of 1887 game counter, including buttplate, weight 6lb. 14oz.
