1958 CUP FINAL Collection of 4 modern reproduced photographs from the 1958 Cup Final all signed by two goals scorer Nat Lofthouse. Three are 12" x 8" , the other is 8" x10" showing Lofthouse on the shoulders of his colleagues holding the Cup aloft. The other three show the pre-match toss up, Lofthouse scoring and Lofthouse with drink and cigarette in hand in the dressing room with the Cup after the game. Generally good

WARTIME - READING 45 Single sheet programme for game played at Elm Park, Reading, RAF Inter-Command Cup Final, Technical Training Command v Bomber Command. TTC included players from Blackpool (3), Celtic, Man City, Charlton, Stoke, West Brom and Middlesbrough whilst Bomber Command has Bert Williams in goal (Wolves) plus players from Leeds, Middlesbrough, Charlton, Stoke, Burnley, Southport, Reading, Liverpool and Birmingham. CRICKET - JACK SHARP Five postcards of Lancashire Cricketer Jack Sharp who also played football for Everton and England. Sharp played 300 times for Everton scoring 68 goals. And won the County Championship with Lancashire in 1904, playing every game in their unbeaten season. He played cricket between 1899-1914 and then post-war , captaining Lancashire between 1923-25 . He won Cup Winners and Runners Up medals with Everton and was 3 times a Championship runner-up. The postcards all show Sharp in cricket poses. Generally good
WARTIME Scarce programme for game played in Meerut, India, 4/2/46, Meerut Select v No 6 I.S.S.E.C.C.XI, (also known as Haywards XI). This touring team included Yeomanson (Leeds), Rennie (Dundee), Powell (QPR), Hayward (Blackpool), Hardisty and two Nottingham Forest players Knight and Kailes. The touring team won 4-0.Four page programme, score noted. Good
BURNDEN DISASTER 1946 Match programme, Bolton v Stoke, 9/3/46 , Cup 6th Round, at Burnden Park. 33 people died due to crushing as many spectators gained admittance at one end through an opened gate after the ground had been declared full. The game went on whilst casualties were attended to. Programme has minor fold but no writing. Generally good
READING - MANCHESTER UNITED 1926-27 CUP REPLAY Aston Villa programme for FA Cup Second Replay , Reading v Manchester United, Monday January 17th 2017. Also covers Aston Villa v Newcastle, 15/1/1927 (Newcastle Championship season). Reading won the game 2-1 after draws at each of the two clubs. Ex bound volume but complete with covers. Generally good
WORLD CUP 1950 Scarce programme from the 1950 World Cup, Brasil v Mexico at Rio de Janeiro, 24/6/50. Opening game of the Tournament for Brasil who won 4-0. Programme has many statistics and details of squads etc. Folds and small tear to back cover, rusty staples but otherwise good. Fair-generally good
MANCHESTER CITY Five First Day Covers, issued by Dawn Covers for the FA Cup Final v. Tottenham Hotspur. 3 for the first game all datestamped 9/5/1981, one with match details, one with no details and one with an additional Wembley handstamp. Plus 2 for the replay datestamped 14/5/1981 both with different postage stamps. Good
CORINTHIANS FA CUP 1938 Scarce Corinthians home programme for FA Cup replay v Dartford, 16/11/1938, played at Kingstonian. Four page issue for this Cup tie which Corinthians won 2-1. It was their last home game in the FA Cup as they lost 3-0 at Southend in the next round and thereafter they became Corinthian Casuals after linking up with the other well-known amateur side. Small tear to bottom edge, slight folds, no writing. Fair-generally good
NOTABLE PROGRAMMES Collection of 7 match programmes, all notable, some first and lasts including Barnet v Crewe 17/8/91 (first Barnet home League programme-score noted, minor damage to back cover), QPR v Luton 1/9/81 (first game on Astro turf), Doncaster Rovers Legends v Supporters United 28/12/2006 (final match at Belle Vue, Makepeace Testimonial), other programmes include Sutton United v Coventry 7/1/89 (famous Cup upset), both programmes for the Leeds v Wimbledon tie , at Leeds 25/1/75 and programme for the replay at Plough Lane although another issue was printed for the replay which eventually took place in February at Selhurst Park) , the final issue is for the tragedy at Hillsborough, Cup Semi-Final, Liverpool v Nottingham Forest, 15/4/89. Some scores etc noted in one or two. Fair-good
1923 CUP FINAL Complete issue of the Sunday Pictorial dated 29/4/1923 with coverage of the previous days Final between Bolton and West Ham. Front page is devoted to pictures of the scenes at Wembley including an aerial shot showing the full terraces, crowds on the pitch and crowds outside trying to get in whilst another photo shows people climbing over the walls to get in. The inside pages tell of the chaos and pandemonium at Wembley in a story that many may never realise as it is clear that a major disaster was only narrowly averted , one column notes that many arms and legs were broken and many women crushed with there being 60 hospital cases. The centre pages has a panoramic picture of the match in progress with crowds close to the pitch and pictures of both teams and there is match report inside the paper and pictures of the game on the back page. Generally good

Barnsley 1923-4 single sheet programme v. Rotherham Town (poor condition), postcards of New Brighton 1927-8, Darlington circa 1929. match and training photographs, official club correspondence of Barrow, Nelson, New Brighton, Raith, Luton, Swindon, solicitors letters relating to a dispute with Swindon Town. F.A letter and football league card reducing a fine to £70! K.O.Y.L.I Certificate, German Prisoner of War, De Mob Certificate, cricket items and many other interesting items relating to his illustrious career, in folio. Born Sheffield 1897, died 1989, an inside forward for many clubs including Rotherham Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Barrow, Nelson, Mansfield Town, New Brighton, Peterborough, Darlington, York, Swindon, Derby, Hereford. Whilst playing a game for Barrrow he was called from the pitch to sign for Nelson, before completing the game for Barrow. Laycock and Barrow were both fined for the incident!
Austria v. England 1952, a programme Wiener Kurier Festschrift issue (slight rusty staples), together with a match ticket. Both dated 25th May 1952. An army pay book containing autographs of Stan Pearson, Bert Williams, Gil Merrick, Walter Winterbottom, Ron Allen and Jackie Sewell. Two press cuttings from the game which England won 3-2, Nat Lofthouse named. 'The Lion of Vienna' following his efforts in this game.
