Shard of Oldhams Press, London (Publishers for the author), mainly concerning contractual agreements, remainder stock of his works, includes a filing card note, dated 14th December 1937 'I should like to know who the gentleman is and what he is up to. If he sells the books he is a bookseller, whether he keeps the books or not. Actors do not study their parts for Family Bibles weighing half a ton or so. His game must be to cut the volumes up into seperate plays and sell these to amateurs who would otherwise buy them from me. I am not set against this is the poor things get their copies really cheap.
