19TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SCHOOL "Dead fish and game on a ledge with owl upon a basket and cat in the background", oil on canvas, unsigned, 63.5 cm x 96 cm CONDITION REPORTS The picture has been re-lined, paint is flaking and crazed with two dark marks to the stoat. Various scratches throughout, the whole picture appears to be very dark. Various areas of lost paint and crazing evident, some deep long scratches including a horizontal one to the centre. Under UV light most of the picture appears to be milky white. There is a repair to the right of the owl's head. Down to the bottom left hand corner does not appear milky white in complexion and there also appears to be two repairs to the stoat's shoulders, various areas of possible re-painting to the middle and especially to the right hand side around where the fish are situated. These will be photographed under UV light
