Austria v. England 1952, a programme Wiener Kurier Festschrift issue (slight rusty staples), together with a match ticket. Both dated 25th May 1952. An army pay book containing autographs of Stan Pearson, Bert Williams, Gil Merrick, Walter Winterbottom, Ron Allen and Jackie Sewell. Two press cuttings from the game which England won 3-2, Nat Lofthouse named. 'The Lion of Vienna' following his efforts in this game.

WORLD CUP 1966 Four top quality scrapbooks covering the 1966 World Cup from January 66 when the draw was made. They commence with a pennant for the World Cup, several stickers, a World Cup Willie rosette and a couple of stamps (all laid down). Thereafter the draw for the groups and the build up are covered with full details of England warm-up games in Scandinavia. Once the Tournament starts, each game is covered with extensive coverage of the Final, match reports are neatly laid down and these scrapbooks are an excellent record of the Tournament in four volumes. The covers of all four are identical showing World Cup Willie in colour and the trophy and England July 66 noted on the covers. Good

This issue also previews the Fairs Cup Semi Final Barcelona v Chelsea (1st Leg). Generally good
BRADFORD CITY - MAN UTD 60-61 Bradford City home programme v Manchester United, 2/11/60, League Cup. United defeated Exeter after a replay but lost this midweek afternoon game at Bradford City and did not play in the League Cup for another 5 years. It was a Wednesday afternoon kick off as United did not approve of the floodlights at Valley Parade. Small attendance. Programme has no writing. Good

SWITZERLAND - ENGLAND 1945 Two album pages from the Sailor Brown collection. Switzerland v FA Services XI July 1945. Game played to celebrate the Swiss FA 50th Anniversary and to all intents and purposes it was England. One page is signed by all 15 of the FA Touring party, the other by the 15 Switzerland players. The English signatures include Swift, Franklin, Hardwick, Smith, Lawton, Brown, Fenton, Scott, Soo, Finney, Hunt. The Swiss signatures include Sulger, Bickel, Fink, etc. The game was played in Berne and Brown has labelled the page as England. Very scarce. Good

Includes reports, full team line-ups and pictures including the front cover from the game which Valencia won 5-3. This issue also previews the 1962 World Cup in Chile which began at the end of May and includes full tournament previews, group fixture tables and stadium details on the central pages. several pages have cuttings removed from the paper but this does not affect the pages mentioned. WARTIME FOOTBALL Scarce wartime programme, small format issued for game played in Poona , India 28/10/45, Combined Poona and Kirkee XI v Inter-Services Touring Team. Both sides consisted of British players, 3 x Leicester players plus Hughes (Bolton and Blackburn) and Bennett (Spurs) in Poona team whilst the Touring Team contained players from Hearts (Walker), Celtic, Swansea, Cardiff and Arsenal. Programme is a little grubby , worn and creased but is complete and is a very scarce issue. Fair
ENGLAND - SCOTLAND 1944 Official programme England v Scotland at Wembley, 14/10/44 signed on the team page by the England team plus two reserves. Signatures include Swift, Scott, Hardwick, Soo, Joy, Mercer, Matthews, Carter, Lawton, Goulden, Smith, Flewin and Broome. England defeated an injury hit Scotland by a score of 6-2. Having had Shankly and Busby pull out before the game , the Scots played Darlington centre-half Bob Thyne who they pulled out of a convalescent home where he was recovering from shock and shrapnel wounds received on D-Day. RUGBY ENGLAND - NEW ZEALAND 1936 Official programme , England v New Zealand at Twickenham, 4/1/1936, England won 13-0 and inflicted only the third defeat of the tour for the All Blacks as Wales beat them 13-12 and Swansea 11-3. Prince Obolensky in England team and scored two tries on his debut in this game aged 19. First time England had defeated New Zealand.. Obolensky was killed in 1940 during RAF training and one of his tries in this game was described as the greatest try ever scored by England as he ran three quarters of the length of the pitch to score. Programme is in good condition. Good
DUKLA PRAGUE v EVERTON ISL FINAL IN USA. Official Dukla Prague 1961 US tour review booklet celebrating Dukla winning the 1961 International Soccer League, 16-pages with a review of each game played in the International Soccer League against Shamrock Rovers, Rapid Vienna, Red Star Belgrade, AS Monaco & Espanyol. Dukla won ''Section One'' of the International Soccer League and Everton won ''Section two'' before both teams played off in the Final over two legs with Dukla winning 7-2 and 2-0. There is a large focus on the two Everton matches played on 2 & 6 August in New York with extensive reports and full team line-ups plus full coverage of the US tour as a whole. Generally good
