He was the political agent in Kuwait and the diary describes the journey from there between October and December 1917; meetings with Arab leaders including Turki Bin Saud and Abdullah ibn Idris, "He spoke a lot about Lawrence with Faisal at Akabah and said he was almost like a Bedouin"; and mentioning Philby.
