For over 25 years Alan White worked in hundreds of films, using all still camera formats, including shooting film from helicopters to cabled platforms suspended at 12,000 feet, earning him a world wide reputation. His credits include Superman, Supergirl, Cliffhanger, The English Patient, The Hours and many 007 James Bond films. He was awarded a Fellowship of the British Institute of Professional Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society.

With other fine engravings 'taken from designs by the greatest masters' ( four panels to a page ) together with double page maps, decorative headpieces and pictorial historiated initials. Successor of the 'Vinegar' Bible. CONDITION REPORT: Binding with some wear particularly at the extremties with hinges begining to crack o/w sound. Some signatures a little tanned.

Gary Larson : The Complete Far Side, 2003. 1st. Edition. Signed, limited edition 1890/2000. Vols. 1 & 2, Folio, full maroon leather binding, gilt with colour pictorial onlay, aeg. Signed certificate of limitation bound in as frontis. Colour and black and white cartoon illustrations in chronological sequence 1980 - 1994. Both volumes housed in a two tone fabric lined drop-down box. Published with each set was an additional full-sized colour print signed by Larson with the same limitation number. Scarce and near fine. CONDITION REPORT: The print is in fine condition and housed in a tube. The books are in near fine condition - ie they were a gift to the vendor and have been very carefully stored and never really used. Effectively in fine condition.

John Betts : World Atlas ( Lacking title page ) C.1840. Folio volume with 20 double page maps including two of the hemispheres. Every map has an upper and lower heading which reads 'The London Series of Sixpenny Maps' which may indicate that the volume is a less common edition of Betts' Family Atlas. Each map is coloured with deeper hand - coloured outlines. CONDITION REPORT: The boards are detached and the volume lacks the title page but, given the presence of the hemisphere maps, may be complete.
