Erst von da an kann man von einer richtigen Merianbibel sprechen. Für mehr als 70 Jahre verschwinden dann die Platten, bis 1704 Merians Erben in Frankfurt eine, der großen Zetzner-Bibel von 1630 ähnliche, illustrierte Lutherbibel herausgeben. Sie wurden dazu wohl durch Kopierstiche des Holländers P. H. Schut, die B. C. Wursten 1703 in Frankfurt neu auflegte, veranlaßt. Welchen Weg die Platten von Zetzners Erben in Straßburg von 1630 von Merians Erben in Frankfurt 1704 genommen haben, entzieht sich unserer Kenntnis. Wolf oder Wolfgang von Wrzesowitz (auch Wrzesowiz oder Wrzezowetz) war Herr auf Töplitz und Graupen. 1550 bis 1557 wirkte er als Kaiserlicher Kammer-Präsident in Böhmen, darüberhinaus war er oberster Landschreiber in Böhmen. Im Jahr 1500 war es in Böhmen zur ersten gesetzlichen Zusammenfassung des gesamten Landrechts, zur sogenannten Vladislavschen Landesordnung gekommen. Diese Landesordnung war ein Dokument der Übermacht der Stände, d. h. des Adels. Die Revisionen der folgenden Jahrzehnte spiegeln die Veränderungen im dauernden Kräftespiel zwischen König und Adel. Die 1530 gedruckte Landesordnung ist noch ganz im Geiste der Vladislavschen Landesordnung gehalten, ergänzt durch die seither gefaßten Landtagsbeschlüsse. Die darauf folgende von 1549 wurde unter dem persönlichen Einfluß Ferdinands I. nach der Niederwerfung des ständischen Aufstandes im Jahr 1547 beschlossen - diese Landesordnung beginnt deshalb mit den Kapiteln über die Würde, Gewalt und die Gerichte des Königtums. 'Die noch zu Lebzeiten Ferdinands geschaffene, aber erst nach seinem Tode im Druck publizierte und seinem Nachfolger zugeeignete Landesordnung von 1564 ist den Ständen wieder günstiger. [Six Landscape of Quebec City and Six Views of Niagara Falls], 2 suites in 1 vol., both complete comprising a total of 12 aquatints with etching, all with full vibrant original hand-colouring heightened with gum arabic, on Whatman wove paper, each with crisp watermark and date, the majority '1830', 2 sheets '1831', and 1 sheet '1832', each platemark approx. 520 x 700 mm (20 1/2 x 27 1/2 in), full margins with each sheet approx. 560 x 800 mm (22 x 31 1/2 in), the front free endpapers with some toning to extremities from binding but not affecting the plates, plates 1 and 2 of the Quebec Views with light creasing and small printer's crease, plate 6 with small 1-2 cm vertical tear in the centre margin, otherwise marginal surface dirt and finger-soiling throughout, some very minor spotting, minor cockling and handling creases, contemporary half morocco, spine gilt 'Canadian Scenery.
