Printed by Advanced Graphics, London, for Snail Chemicals Publishing, London, folio: 17 6/8" x 12 1/2". Provenance: Exhibited in "AN ART HISTORIAN COLLECTS: The David E. Brauer Collection" at the Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile, Alabama, February 7 - November 29, 2020; Estate of David E. Brauer, Houston, Texas. Condition: A few prints appear to have lifted from the mounting paper, some prints have been additionally mounted to acid-free paper for exhibition in museum display case. Andrew Geddes, (1783 - 1844) After Sir Anthony Van Dyck, Infanta Isabella, drypoint on paper, unframed, plate size is 22.5 x 15cm Footnote: Geddes owned a portrait of Infanta Isabella Clara Eugenia thought to be by van Dyck between 1817 and 1821. He probably made this drypoint for a folio of prints (of which this is no.17) in the 1820s. There is apparently a complete set in Perth Museum and another impression in the National Gallery of Scotland - The National Gallery's version was printed from Geddes's plate by E.S. Lumsden.
