* Kollwitz (Kathe, 1867-1945). Self-portrait (Selbstbildnis), 1934, b&w lithograph, signed, titled and dated in pencil, approx. 32 x 24 cm, some small scattered wormholes, mounted, together with KÅ the Kollwitz, Ten Lithographs, Introductory essay by Elizabeth McCausland, New York, Henry C. Crawhall (Joseph). Reynard ye Foxe, A Set of Ten Drawings Representing Scenes from the Fable, Paterson, c.1880, ten mounted chromolitho. plts., with printed captions, some foxing, contained within two leaves of letterpress, one with title on recto, the other with list of illusts. on recto, housed in linen portfolio, lettered on upper side, lacking ties, folio. Joseph Crawhall, together with E. A. Walton and James Guthrie, became part of the group of artists known as 'The Glasgow Boys', who rejected conventional sentimental subjects, preferring instead to follow the influences of the French realists. Crawhall was a talented watercolourist and was particularly renowned for his paintings of animals. (1)
