Ohne Ort u. Jahr (Darmstadt, ca. 1666). Mit 83 Kupfertafeln (davon sechs gefaltet, komplett). Seltenes, prachtvoll illustriertes Gedenkwerk für den Landgrafen Georg II. von Hessen-Darmstadt (1605-1661). Unter den Stichen sind über 30 fürstliche Stammbäume mit Ansichten von Residenzstädten wie Ansbach, Berlin, Bonn, Dresden, Heidelberg, München sowie europäischen Städten wie Florenz, London, Madrid, Paris, Wien. Weitere Stiche mit Hochzeitsszenen und anderen Festlichkeiten sowie Widmungs- und Lobgedichten mit reicher allegorischer Randverzierung. (Die Anfangsblätter und -tafeln best., fleckig, eingerissen, am Rand teilw. verstärkt, im Laufe des Bandes bessert sich der Zustand). Es fehlt der Titel, der später jed. am Anfang des Textteils erscheint. Zwei Ex-libris Aufkleber: Bibliotheca Palatina, Bibl. C. Draudt. Schadhafter u. fleckiger Pergamenteinband. Gr.-Folio. David McKitterick - Wallpapers by Edward Bawden, printed at The Curwen Press, folio, printed by The Whittington Press, 1989, this edition of 120 copies is set in 14-point Walbaum and printed at Whittington on Oxford mould made paper. The half-tone and colour plates are printed at the Senecio Press, and the edition is bound at the Fine Bindery. Forty copies (41-80) are quarter bound in buckram and birds nest paper, and contain sheets or parts of sheets of seven original wallpapers. This is copy number 77 (original slip-case)

Medals.- Dassier (John [Jean] & Son, medal makers) An explanation of Dassier's medals of the sovereigns of England, 6 engraved plates (the first signed 'London published 1st Jan., 1797 M. Young, Ludgate Hill), each c.284 x 368mm., 8 ff. of explanatory text, subscription form for 'Dassier's Medals of the Roman History' dated 1797, bound in at start, little marginal water-staining or mostly light soiling to plates, occasional spotting, contemporary stitched marbled wrappers, little creasing, oblong small folio, M. Young, Ludgate Hill, 1797.⁂ A very good copy of a rare work in commerce. Dassier was a Swiss medalist, who following in the footsteps of his father became chief engraver at the Geneva mint. In 1731 he issued a series of medals dedicated to George II, which depicted British sovereigns from William the Conqueror to George II.
