FREDERICK II: (1712-1786) King of Prussia 1740-86. Known as Frederick the Great and remembered for his military victories. L.S., Frederic, one page, folio, Berlin, 3rd February 1741, to a minister in Cologne, in French. The King congratulates his correspondent for their report on the state of general affairs and instructs him to investigate the prince-elector of Cologne and his claim on the Court of Munich. With blank integral leaf. Some light age wear and foxing to the edges, not significantly affecting the text or signature, G Clemens August of Bavaria (1700-1761) Archbishop-Elector of Cologne who personally crowned his brother, Charles VII (1697-1745, Prince-Elector of Bavaria 1726-45 & Holy Roman Emperor 1742-45), as Emperor at Frankfurt in 1742.

D.S., Carolus Johannes, as King, two pages, folio, Stockholm, 12th May 1820, to King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies, in Latin. Charles acknowledges the receipt of his correspondent's communication announcing the news of the birth Princess Maria Carolina, wishing him health and a prosperous reign, and the protection of the best and greatest of God. Countersigned at the foot by Gustaf af Wetterstedt (1776-1837) Swedish Statesman. With blank integral leaf. With a minor stain to the foot of each page, evidently caused by the seal (no longer present), a small tear to the left edge, and age wear. G

The partially printed document, completed in manuscript, grants a patent to Jacques-Marie Beauvarlet-Charpentier. Boldly signed at the conclusion alongside a blind embossed seal and bearing a countersignature. Some extensive dust staining to the edges and with some tears and neat splits to the edges of the folds, G Jacques-Marie Beauvarlet-Charpentier (1766-1834) French Organist & Composer.

An excellent original pen and ink drawing signed by the German-Swiss artist Robert Kastor, the well-executed image, on a folio sheet of artist's paper, depicts Salandra in a head and shoulders pose. Signed by Salandra beneath the drawing and with a brief quotation, 'In memory of the liberation war', in Italian, and the date, Rome, 24th May 1920, in his hand. An excellent original pen and ink drawing signed by the German-Swiss artist Robert Kastor, the well-executed image, on a folio sheet of artist's paper, depicts Nitti in a head and shoulders pose. Signed by Nitti at the base and with a lengthy quotation in his hand, in Italian, 'Europe will not regain lost wealth and what's more the security of life as long as true peace is restored, after the false peace of the treaties. Europe eagerly seeks the ways of liberation; it will find them only when it will leave the spirit of violence.' Some extremely light, very minor age wear, VG

A vintage folio illustrated German newspaper supplement issued by Bild and dedicated to the film The Misfits (1961) the first page featuring a large image of Montgomery Clift (Perce Howland) alongside Marilyn Monroe (Roslyn Tabor) and with printed text, signed ('Monty Clift') in blue fountain pen ink to a clear area at the centre of the image. Clift has experienced slight pen trouble from a different pen, with a lighter ink, when first attempting to sign the image. Central vertical and horizontal folds and some slight scuffing and a small area of paper loss, only affecting Monroe's image and not the signature. About G
