Clarke of London, William White of London, lettered, scaled and numbered 1-9, lithographs, 37.5 x 25.5cm, mounted over nine sheets, later 20th c green cloth folio (48 x 32.5cm) Generally good condition. Some surface toning, the 12 Designs for Wooden Memorial Crosses over to sheets a trifle foxed, occasional scuffs. One or two marginal tears to the mounted sheets rather than the designs. Later cloth folio with former staining and lightly worn, but perfectly serviceable.

Verso of half-title inscribed in ink MS: Presented by Mr Gray to his friend Dr Snipe/in the Island of Malta on the ninth day of/July 1804 previous to his leaving that Island for/England. The title-page also bearing Snipe's MS ownership inscription: J. Snipe. M.D.

Stackhouse (Thomas), An Universal Atlas Consisting of a Complete Set of Maps, to Illustrate Ancient and Modern Geography [...], [?sixth edition], [London]: [Printed for S.J.
