Hand-coloured 12 panel panorama depicting animals performing circus tricks before an appreciative audience; split on folds and reinforced with cloth tape to reverse, lacking approx. 1 sq inch of surface to 1 panel, 1 panel with crease, some discoloration or browning, some slight chipping at folds. Oblong folio, original boards with coloured pictorial label. 3rd edition, ca. 1890. Together with another similar Meggendorfer 12-panel panorama Im Circus, also ca. 1890, portraying more human characters, clowns, strongmen, bareback riders, etc. In similar condition to the above but with two panels torn, one badly and lacking 1sq inch piece, tape discolouration to surface at folds. Sold as seen, not subject to return.
