Varie annotazioni manoscritte al contropiatto e alla carta di guardia anteriore.Volume del Talmud babilonese con commentario del celebre rabbino Mordecai ben Abraham Jaffe (o Yoffe) nato a Praga nel 1535 circa. Il volume contiene il Gittin (o Ghittìn) ("libelli di ripudio"), sezione di questo testo sacro che fa parte del Séder Nashìm ("ordine delle donne"): come gli altri sei trattati, anche il Gittin tratta delle regole del matrimonio e del diritto di famiglia. Il volume venne impresso nella tipografia viennese di Anton Edlen von Schmid, specializzata in testi orientali ed ebraici: proprio la stampa del Talmud, come quella della Bibbia ebraica con commento affiancata dalla traduzione tedesca, fu una delle maggiori imprese tipografiche di Schmid.Folio (405x250 mm). *-**2 A-H(8)2. Volume of Babylon Talmud with commentary by Rabbi Mordecai ben Abraham Jaffe (or Yoffe), born in Prague in 1535. It contains the treatise known as Gittin (or Ghittìn), a section of Séder Nashìm, the part of Talmud regarding marriage regulation and Family Law. The volume was printed by the Viennese typhography of Anton Edlen von Schmid, specialized in oriental and hebrew texts.

Manoscritto completo della commedia Li tre orbi, che include le indicazioni di scena per gli attori inframmezzate al testo - inedito e verosimilmente perduto - 'scritto per il Teatro Paroni nell'Autunno dell'anno 1795'. Come da indicazione in calce alla lista degli attori la scena si finge in Cremona e, probabilmente, l'anonimo commediografo potrebbe provenire proprio da area lombardo-veneta, come fanno anche supporre alcune forme linguistiche di uso dialettale. Manuscript on paper (302x205 mm). 24 leaves. Titles, list of the actors, and text written in ink red and black. In very good condition. Contempory paperboards, title inked on the upper cover. Complete manuscript copy of the unpublished comedy Li tre orbi, including instructions for the actors, and written - as the title states - for the - 'Teatro Paroni' in the autumn 1795. The play takes place in Cremona, in Lombardy, and the anonymous comedy writer had used forms and expressions typical of Lombard or Veneto dialect.

This translation was made from a manuscript copy of Tyrius' dissertations that was brought by Janus Lascaris from Greece to the De Medici family in Florence.

Frontespizio stampato in rosso e nero con ritratto calcografico dell'Autore, testatine e capolettera xilografici. Gora al frontespizio e alle carte, qualche macchia sui margini, lievi bruniture. Legatura coeva in pergamena su cartone, titoli manoscritti in inchiostro al dorso. Piatti con macchie, aloni e strappi, mende e lacerazioni al dorso, piatti allentati. Note di possesso al frontespizio, di cui una cassata, prove di penna e altre note parzialmente cancellate al contropiatto e alla carta di guardia anteriori.Edizione delle Observationes in M. Tullium Ciceronem, stampate per la prima volta nel 1535, con il titolo - riproposto in molte delle impressioni successive - di Thesaurus Ciceronianus. L'opera di Nizzoli fu il primo lessico latino, con oltre 20.000 vocaboli, costruito unicamente sulla base delle opere di Cicerone e la sua diffusione fu vastissima, con una circolazione attestata fino al XIX secolo. Nella lettera prefatoria l'Autore "allude a coloro che tendono a porre in ridicolo i cultori di Cicerone, esemplare modello non solo di chiarezza ed eleganza stilistica, ma anche di autentica sapienza ed eloquenza, grazie al possesso sia della scienza delle cose sia della scienza delle parole" (DBI, s.v.). Waterstain on the title page and on the leaves, some stains on the margins, light browning. Conteporary vellum over pasteboards, ink titles on the spine. Stains on the covers, spots and tears, losses on the spine, loose covers. Ownership inscription on title page, of which one erased, pen proof and other note partially erased on the pastedown and on the front flyleaf. Edition of the Observationes in M. Tullium Ciceronem, printed for the first time in 1532, with the title - riproposed in numerous following issues - fo Thesaurus Ciceronianus.

Restauri al fascicolo iniziale, brunito, arrossature. Legatura coeva in pergamena su cartone, titoli in oro su tassello in pelle al dorso, tagli spruzzati in marrone, segni di bindelle. Macchie e aloni ai piatti, rotture alla cuffia di testa, strappi al tassello al dorso. Timbro al frontespizio.Prima edizione collettanea delle opere di Bacon stampata in Germania e seconda in assoluto. Rispetto all'edizione londinese del 1638 è considerata migliore e più completa. Qualche sporadica nota manoscritta lungo il testo.Prima edizione cinquecentesca di questo importante testo storico, pensato come complemento alla Città di Dio di Agostino, e che rappresenta il primo tentativo di descrivere la storia del mondo come storia di Dio che guida l'umanità.Folio (292x200 mm).
