Leeds – Potternewton – Earl Cowper ms document on 119 pp large legal folio paper being the abstract of title of the estates in Yorkshire belonging to George Augustus Earl Cowper Viscount Fordwich and Baron Wingham in the county of Kent. Included are the estates of Newton Hall in Potternewton Leeds. Document dated 1841. The document also includes an ms pedigree of the Earl’s family.

WWII – The Holocaust The Kitchener Camp Review for April 1939 being the journals of the Kitchener Camp for Refugees at Richborough near Sandwich written for and by them. Cyclostyled on 11pp folio with orange paper printed cover this was issue number 2 of a rare and legendary magazine produced for the thousands of mainly Jewish refugees who were coming to Britain in the wake of the Nazi purges at the start of what was to become the holocaust. The Camp was designed for 3500 but by the end of the war more than 15000 male Jewish refugees were housed there. The Journals were produced on a monthly basis and are one of the most poignant reminders of what happened to these people and of the warm welcome which they received from the British people.

The rare first edition of the work by Sir Richard Hawkins is unusually complete with initial blank leaf and bound in a more contemporary binding than recent copies offered at auction.
