Commonwealth Navy.- Disbrowe (John, parliamentarian army officer and politician, commissioner for the admiralty and navy, bap. 1608, d. 1680).- Petition signed by Abraham Granger to Major General Disbrowe, informing them of a delinquent's estate of £15,000 and how Colonel Ven had tried to claim it as his own, manuscript, 1p., edges chipped, folds, slightly creased and browned, folio, January 1654.⁂ Granger was an informer on delinquents who could be stripped of their property if they could not pay the fine for compounding for their estates. Granger could expect to be given a percentage of the fine.

Regicide.- Heveningham (William, regicide, of Ketteringham, Norfolk, 1604-78).- The Title of Mr. Heveningham's 2 houses [in Drury Lane], manuscript, 2pp. & conjugate blank, tear along central folds without loss of legibility, slightly browned, folio, 1670. ⁂ This document gives the history of ownership of these two houses in Drury Lane from 1625 when sold by George Digby Earl of Bristol to John Browne, then Heveningham's acquisition of the properties, his attainder for treason, and the king's grant of the forfeited property to Viscount Cullen, Sir Ralph Bankes and others.William Heveningham, parliamentary officer was a judge at the treason trial of Charles I, but refused to sign the death warrant, though he later assented to the execution. He was tried as a regicide at the Restoration and sentenced to death, commuted to life imprisonment. He died a prisoner in Windsor Castle in 1678.

Rare WW2 signed prints The RAF Jubilee Limited Edition. This portfolio of prints was produced in 1979 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. It consists of four high quality prints taken from paintings by artist Eric Kennington, which he painted in 1940 of famous WWII airmen. Each one measures 14 x 10 inches and they are personally autographed in pencil by the airmen in question: Douglas Bader, James Ginger Lacey, John Cunningham and Rod Learoyd VC. They come supplied in a gold printed presentation folio, complete with RAF ribbon, and Certificate of Authenticity signed by AM Sir Denis Crowley Milling on behalf of the RAF Benevolent Fund. Lydgate (John, poet and prior of Hatfield Regis, c. 1370-1449/50).- [Boccaccio (Giovanni)] [A Treatise excellent and compe[n]dious, shewing... the falles of sondry most notable Princes and Princesses with other Nobles], double column, black letter, 4 woodcut illustrations only, lacks all before P1, lacks S1, Y5, 2C1-2, 2H6, 2L5, lacks all after [par]3, corners worn with some loss of text, some other tears mostly at beginning and end, slight worming in inner margins, margins trimmed, some stains, browned, a few 17th century and later ink inscriptions, disbound, [Pforzheimer 74; STC 3177], folio, [Richard Totte]l, [1554]; sold not subject to return.⁂ "The Fall of Princes was begun c.1431 at the request of Humphrey, duke of Gloucester, and completed in 1438 or 1439. It is based on Laurent de Premierfait's French version of Boccaccio's De casibus virorum illustrium, and runs to 36,365 lines in nine books. The long task weighed heavily even on Lydgate, who makes a number of semi-comic references to it, and at some point wrote a begging poem, the Letter to Gloucester (Minor Poems, 665-7), a witty request for funds." (Oxford DNB). An interesting choice of patronage by the youngest brother of Henry V, as he was to fall spectacularly from grace himself in the wake of his wife's arrest, for practising witchcraft against Henry VI. He was arrested in 1447 and died shortly thereafter.
