Autograph album, folio, half morrocco, frontboard loose, containing a large collection of A.L.S (autograph, letter, signed), mainly 19th century and earlier prominent figures - Royalty, peers, prime ministers, soldiers, diplomats, writers and painters. Over two hundred signatures including; George IV, Queen Victoria, Duke of Wellington, Admiral Saumarez, Sir Walter Scott, Gladstone, Disraeli, Landseer and Millais. Some of the items have been affixed by a narrow strip, no more than ¼", along one edge using some form of paste and some using small hinges, all of which could be removed with care, but 2 have been affixed all over. Some items have been removed from the original collection and some added over the years. Correspondence with it indicates that it was passed down in the family.
