Peter Mancroft. A thank offering from Mary Fitch for a great mercy vouchsafed unto her. July 1st 1865."
Wellington (Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke).- Illustrated London News (The), vol.21, containing much material on the death and funeral of the Duke of Wellington particularly the Wellington supplements of September 18th & 25th and November 13th, 20th & 27th, illustrations, some full-page, a few red duty stamps, some light foxing, with letterpress poem 'The Wellington Alphabet' mounted on front free endpaper, inscribed in ink at head "From the Author Colonel Egerton 1841", ink inscription "C.O.Kenyon Great Ness" to front free endpaper, contemporary cloth, rubbed, lower cover stained, folio, September-December 1852.⁂ The Wellington Alphabet is a 66-line poem listing Wellington's military achievements by the letters of the alphabet. There is no imprint and it does not appear to have been published, with no copy listed by Library Hub or WorldCat. There is one copy in Herefordshire Archives, and the University of Southampton holds a manuscript version as part of their Special Collections, apparently sent to the Duke in 1836, but with significant textual variations.

Conscript Italian soldiers in the service of Britain.- Licence authorised by Lt.-Gen. Austria.- Springer Family (of Vienna) Scrap Book, c. 140 pieces of ephemera laid down on c. 45pp., some ephemera loose or removed from album ff., ephemera including menus, visiting cards, invitations to dinners, weddings, advertisements and programmes for the theatre and opera, newspaper cuttings, Karl Baedeker letter (son of the Karl Baedeker, publisher) etc., some items removed, some ff. torn and loose, original cloth, worn and stained, lacks spine, folio, 1870-85.⁂ Album with numerous names of people that seemed to have been in and around Viennese and Austro-Hungarian society at the time, such as Lajos (Ludwig) Dóczi, noted Hungarian poet and translator or Goethe's Faust. Members of the Springer family most mentioned are Adolph Springer, Leopold Springer and Gustav von Springer. The latter two were a banker and an industrialist. The letter from Karl Baedeker was written to Adolph Springer. Many of the names that appeared are Jewish - probably including the Springer family as well - and some items relating to the Jewish community in Vienna and other German-speaking cities, such as an 1861 School report from the Volks- und Realschule der israelitischen Gemeinde zu Frankfurt, one of the largest and longest running Jewish schools in Germany.
