Operation Eclipse was defined as the plans and preparations for the operation of occupying Germany. The Eclipse ABC lists alphabetically all major subjects that were likely to be met by Commanders and Staff in the execution of their duties and giving them a reference to the subjects contained in other pamphlets. William Robson and his maps are very obscure. He does not even appear in Tooley’s Dictionary of map makers. The maps are a re-issue of T.L.Murrays county maps with a new imprint. Robson is known to have issued these maps and one complete collection of this state exists in a private English Collection.
