London Palladium London Palladium (The), An important collection of over 600 photographs of performers who appeared at the theatre after its reopening in 1928, almost all signed and inscribed to George Black, director of the theatre, some postcard size, but the majority 10 by 8 prints or larger, mounted in two large albums, the first with a manuscript title-page in sign-written style, original cloth, one tie loose, large folio, 1929-1938. Leading comedians, singers, musicians, dancers, band leaders, conjurors, circus and novelty acts are represented in the collection, many appearing early in their careers.
