An early example of 'God Save the King' and other printed popular music. Sammelband of mid 18th century printed popular music, folio, bound, ex libris label worn to the point where the name is unrecognisable, the date still showing 1747, with in excess of 150 popular songs on 213 leaves, including an early example of 'A Loyal Song Sung at both Theatres for two Voices' (God Save the king), sheets in different states but generally good, uncut edges and pasted onto thin card slips bound to the folio, with some repairs, a rare survivor of a unique example of the popular songs of the time, in one binding, circa 1747. 'Bush Friends in Tasmania,' 'Native flowers, fruits and insects, Drawn from Nature, With Prose Descriptions and Illustrations in Verse,' last edition, folio, original bevelled edge green cloth with ornate gilt decorations, mold and water damage to bottom of rear board, limited edition 106/700, two signatures by the author one being a loose chromolithographed plate signed and inscribed, plate 1 loose, gilt textblock edge, chromolithographed plates, a small amount of spotting, MacMillan & Co, executed by Vincent Brooks, London, 1891. Meredith is considered one of the first female photographers in Australia, although none of her photos was published. An early member of The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals.
