Document signed dated May 23 1651 on reverse with blank integral leaf 2pp. folio warrant ordering the payment by Sir John Wollaston [and the Treasurers of War] of £35 to Captain Richard Fearnes for the charges for carrying hay to Scotland creased at folds. Bradshaw President of the King s Judges was another notable regicide.

Cromwell (Oliver). Document signed dated December 6 1650 1pp. folio warrant addressed to Sir John Wollaston and the rest of the Trers [Treasurers] at Warre ordering the payment of £200 to William Clarke for Army expenses signed and receipted by Clarke. This document is signed by Cromwell as Commander in Chief of the Army during his campaign against the Scots in 1650-51. Clarke had been Secretary to the Council of the Army 1647-49 and to General Thomas Fairfax before Cromwell. He marched north with the army in July 1650 and there followed the famous defeat of the Scots at Dunbar in September 1650.

Frith (Francis). Egypt and Palestine Photographed and Described by Franics Frith, pub. James S. Virtue, [1858/59], printed title and introduction leaves, fifty-eight (of 76) mounted albumen prints with printed captions and facing letterpress, images 16 x 23 cm, or the reverse, lacks subscriber`s list, a little minor spotting and finger soiling throughout, t.e.g., contemp. half morocco gilt with marbled boards, rubbed and a little wear to extrems., folio. Gernsheim 88. The work was originally published in twenty-five monthly parts and many of the prints are dated 1857. In 1859 the parts were issued in two volumes, vol. 1 containing thirty-seven, and vol. 2 containing thirty-nine photographs. The volume here offered is therefore missing eighteen of the photographs but contains no indication that the work was a two-volume work, having no volume titles, contents leaves, (subscriber`s list) or pagination and was clearly deliberately bound this way at the time. An ownership signature of Florence Mary King, dated 1860, appears on the front free endpaper. (1)

Man, Hans Bauman, 1931", with a limitation number 1/1, a.e.g., orig. decorative moire silk over boards with spine ties and titled paper label to upper cover, minor fraying to corners, oblong small folio. Felix H. Man was born as Hans Felix Sigismund Baumann. Around 1930, Man was working for the Muenchner Illustrierte Presse and the Berliner Illustrierte Zeitung. He was largely confined to work on the Continent and in England, and during the period 1930-1931 he went to Italy and made is famous Reportage "A Day with Mussolini". (1)
