Exemplaire de grande qualité, relié aux armes du Collège d’Harcourt, collège parisien, fondé par Raoul d’Harcourt, Chanoine de Paris, en 1280, Pour accueillir les étudiants pauvres originaires des diocèses normands. Ex-libris mss. « de Sainte – Catherine ». Troisième édition, la plus belle ; les deux premières sont 1640 et 1651. Petites restaurations à la reliure, quelques taches sur certains ff. manque le premier f. blanc.

Le plus important des ouvrages illustrés par A. Dunoyer de Segonzac et un des plus beaux et des plus recherchés parmi les livres illustrés modernes : 119 eaux-fortes originales (Lioré et Cailler, 863 à 981), dont 99 grandes compositions tirées hors-texte. Tirage unique à 250 exemplaires numérotés, tous sur papier vélin de Rives, filigrané à la grappe de raisins et à la tête de bÅ“uf. Un des 25 exemplaires d’auteur, hors-commerce (n°V), accompagné d’une suite des 119 eaux-fortes, reliées à part et formant le troisième volume. Très bel exemplaire relié par Georges CRETTE pour le Maître, qui l’a enrichi de cinq dessins originaux pour l’ouvrage (plume et lavis d’encre de chine), signés et annotés, dont un sur double-page (pli au centre) représentant des scènes de labours de la vigne et de vendanges.
