A large and varied selection of embroidered / printed military patches. Mostly modern British corps patches, along with some WW2 examples, and United States examples. To include amongst others: 45th Infantry Divsion, 44th Home Counties Division, 1st Corps HQ, 51st Highland Division, U.S 3rd EOD CO Okinawa Japan patch, U.S Ordnance Explosive Disposal Mobile Unit, 21st Army Group, 16 Airborne Brigade, Royal Engineers, Scottish District, Parachute Wings, and many others. 49 patches total (please note: not every patch is shown in the main image) Condition: generally good. The more vintage pieces have a little light soiling / fading to the fabric, with the 1st Corps HQ patch having a moth nip. Many of the modern patches appear to have had little to no wear.

A circa WW2 era Winston Churchill signed photograph. Taken by Walter Stoneman on April 1st 1941. Gelatin silver print, mounted upon an cream card backing, which in turn is mounted upon an later red card backing. Signed ‘W Churchill’ below the photograph on the cream card backing. Photograph size 9.7cm x 7.2cm size including signature panel 12cm x 7.2cm. Condition: generally good. The photograph appears to have been cut down slightly, and this is more noticeable to the right hand margin, and slightly less to the left. Small crease to the signature panel on the bottom left, and an extremely faint score line to the photograph to the left side, but this is almost unseen unless under magnification. Small semi-circle lighter patch on bottom margin of signature panel, which cuts slight into the bottom loop of one of the written letters.

Y&nbspA RUSSIAN ROSEWOOD, GONCALO ALVES, TULIPWOOD AND MARQUETRY GRAND PIANO BY HERMAN LICHTENTHAL, THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY With seven octave range, metal framed, stamped variously '3842' .... inscribed in pencil 'No 807', the marquetry panels signed indistinctly to possibly include 'CUNU' and 'CREMER' 97cm high, 159cm wide, 200cm long overall Please note, Dreweatts have applied for a de minimis exemption licence for the ivory in this lot (D921CP4SY) Provenance: Dimitri Tiomkin. A similar piano by Lichtenthal was in the Glinka Museum of Musical Culture, Moscow. Dimitri Zinovievich Tiomkim was a Ukrainian born composer and conductor. Classically trained in St Petersburg, Russia in the early 1900s, he moved to Hollywood in 1929 and wrote film scores mostly for Westerns. He received 22 Academy Award nominations and won four Oscars during his lifetime. In 1967 he left America following the death of his wife and moved back to Europe. In 1972 Tiomkin married Olivia Cynthia Patch and lived in London and Paris. This piano was obtained from Dimitri Tiomkin's widow, and the piano is thought to have been purchased in the late 20th Century from St Petersburg. The self-titled box set (RR 7025-1) includes a 9 record collection featuring every Mastodon recording from "Lifesblood" to "Blood Mountain". The "Leviathan" and "Blood Mountain" LPs have been expanded to double LPs, and "Leviathan" features the band's cover versions of Thin Lizzy's "Emerald", Melvins' "The Bit", and Metallica's "Orion". This box also contains the band's 2003 Relapse Contamination Festival performance (never-before-released in its entirety) as well as a Mastodon turntable slip-mat, patch, and sticker set. Aubusson pattern rug, champagne coloured ground with central floral motif, enclosed by Classical scrolled borders, 260cm x 168cm.Condition report:The backing shows two seems where the carpet has either been made in thirds, or it has been reduced although the proportions and scrolling design all match so a reduction seems unlikely. There is a 20cm patch of discoloured yellow staining adjacent to the border. A small blue spot stain to the central field. Other spot patches of wear and thinning of the fabric.

Indian dhal shield, slightly convex form, lacquered decoration with animal hair to the central roundel, with four metal bosses, 48cm diameter.Condition report:Some spot losses to the lacquer on the front aspect. The reverse has a 5cmx7cm patch of lacquer loss at the top of the shield, mostly affecting the border. Leather straps broken and replaced. Faint crazing/ cracking to the lacquer throughout. Some distortion to the rim but the shape mostly remains true.

A Leica M2 Camera outfit complete with Canadian variant 8 element 35mm summicon f/2 and Leica Meter MC Condition ReportShutter speed slector stuck causing MC meter to be stuck on aswell meaning SN is unreadble, shutter curtain appears to be wrinkled or bent, heavy usage thoughout including brass showing through the chrome aswell as the leatherette peeling in many places. Viewfinder is foggy but RF patch is visible. Summicron lens appears to have fungus and heavy use throughout including scratches to front element, in additon to this the lens is stuck on infinity even with the infinty lock release pressed. Camera shutter fires but doesnt sound accurate, the advance however feels smooth. no guarantee to the light seals conditon.Please see additional images.

A VICTORIAN GOTHIC REVIVAL INLAID MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK THE DIAL SIGNED FOR JOHNSON, LONDON, MID 19TH CENTURY The twin fuse gong striking movement with anchor escapement regulated by lenticular bob pendulum with holdfast to the shouldered backplate, the 7 inch cream painted Arabic numeral shaped-top dial inscribed Johnson, London to centre, with steel moon hands and subsidiary Strike/Silent dial to arch, the gable-top case with stylised leafy scroll carved decoration over slender cavetto cornice and hinged front with shaped arch glazed dial aperture inset with canted brass fillet bordering the dial within line inlaid surround, the sides with lancet-shaped glazed apertures beneath brass rosette ring side handles and the rear with gable-shaped glazed door set within the frame of the case, on line edged cavetto moulded skirt base with squab feet, (dial re-touched). 48cm (19ins) high, 29cm (11.5ins) wide, 19cm (7.5ins) deep Condition Report: Movement is complete and in full working condition with no visible evidence of alteration or noticeable replacements; a gentle clean and overhaul is advised. The dial appears to retain the original cream ground finish however the black scripted numerals, signature etc has been re-touched therefore dial presents as being in very good condition. We cannot offer any assurances that the signature for Johnson is correct however it is most likely that the current script replicates/is a restoration of the original text. The case is in good presentable condition. The apex of the carved cresting has been restored and there are some very slight shrinkage cracks to the top surfaces. The right-hand side aperture has veneer patch repairs to the edges bordering the glass; the rear door has similar patch repairs and some unevenness to the colour. Faults to the case are otherwise very much limited to minor bumps, scuffs and other blemishes commensurate with age and use.Clock is complete with a pendulum, winder and case key.Condition Report Disclaimer

Greener MkIII 14 bore Police shotgun, serial number 2929, 25inch barrel, full length stock, the action stamped with maker name and patents and fitted with cocking indicator and safety catch, Birmingham nitro proofs. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.107cm long The gun is in dirty worn sleeper condition and would benefit from an overall strip overhaul and clean. The barrel has some significant rust patches where the wood meets the barrel. This could do with attention and cleaning up, it looks however to deep to be removed fully. There is some light pitting and surface corrosion scattered throughout the metalwork. The action works with a strong sounding spring, the lever is a little loose when the gun is not cocked. The bore is dark and filthy, it needs a good scrub out as it is hard to see the extent of corrosion that is evident from a patch pushed through the bore. The butt stock is loose and rattles, there is a crack to the top of the butt near the upper butt plate screw. The wood is greesy and needs a good clean, there are lots of dents, marks and stains.

Lot 81

Showell of Sheffield 10 bore single barrel percussion shotgun, 30 inch Damascus Spanish form barrel with platinum breech plug, back action lock finely engraved with acanthus leaves and maker name, unusually stocked in figured ash, with pineapple finial trigger guard. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.117cm long The gun is in reasonable condition and looks like it has been sympathetically cleaned up.The bore has some light pitting throughout. The barrel has been re-browned but is free from dents but there is the odd small speckled surface pitting patch. The nipple is a modern replacement. There is small amount of play between barrel and stock. The action cocks and releases correctly with a strong spring. The butt plate has some pitting and there are some scattered marks throughout the rest of the woodwork. There is a repaired crack between the side nail and the barrel, outside of this, the stock is free from splits or cracks, there are some small dents and scratches. There are a couple of small chips to the thin part of the wood where it meets the barrel on the forend. The ramrod has glued cracks.

Lot 71

J. Niell of Belfast percussion volunteer two band .451 Enfield rifle, 32inch barrel with Alexander Henry patent rifling bearing stamp to the knox form, fitted with bayonet lug and folding ladder sight, and Parker Hale tunnel front sight, double border line engraved lock with maker name, steel furniture fitted to the broadly chequered stock, tang mounted peep sight. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.123cm long The gun shows all the signs of recent use being held recently on a FAC and fired. The bore is very good condition with a crisp rifling pattern and only a few tiny and very minor pit marks. The crown is in good order although the barrel has probably been reduced in length to remove a damaged or worn out crown or muzzle. The barrel has some pitting to the exterior, mainly around the nipple area. The nipple is a modern replacement. The false breech and barrel have been refinished. The lock works correctly with a good spring, the trigger is has been worked on and it much lighter to use than a standard Enfield pattern rifle trigger would be. The ramrod is a modern replacement. There is some pitting and corrosion to the trigger guard, butt plate and sling swivels. The stock shows scars of another sight being fitted behind the tang, there is a spliced-in patch to the comb, and a section of wood removed just ahead of the nipple housing. There are some streaks to the stock finish from cleaning fluid that has leaked down the gun.

Lot 39

Enfield Martini Henry 577/450 Cavalry Carbine IC1, with 20.5 inch barrel (saw cut to the breech) fitted with folding ladder sight, the receiver stamped DP, SX, crown VR stamp with 1888 date, sold out of service stamped butt. Section 58(2) Antique /obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, photo ID will be required if the lot is to be posted out. 96cm long The carbine has been sympathetically cleaned up and is in a good presentable condition. The bore has a good strong rifling pattern throughout, there is a few small pitting patches that can be seen towards the muzzle. There is a saw cut to the breech. The action functions well with a good positive lock up and strong sounding mainspring. The metalwork has some light surface pitting, there is heavier pitting at the point where the barrel meets the woodwork of the forend. There is a patch of the barrel where the bluing is worn through to polished metal. The woodwork has been very lightly sanded and freshly finished. It has a good feel to it but some of the marks are a little faint. There are some stains, scratch marks and light dents. The cleaning rod is missing.

Lot 42

American percussion 130 bore Kentucky type rifle, 29.5inch octagonal barrel fitted with buckhorn sight and windage adjustable front sight, drum and nipple conversion from flintlock, the lock spuriously stamped Goulcher, double set triggers and scrolling brass trigger guard, the maple stock fitted with patch box and deep crescent shape butt plate. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.116cm long The gun has a break at the wrist where there has been an attempt at repairing it, this repair has come loose. There is some strange filler marks to the butt. The metalwork has some pitting and corrosion throughout. The action and triggers work but not very convincingly. The ramrod is replaced.

Cased 44 bore (.451) percussion park rifle by Edward Paton, serial number 1189, 30 inch browned Damascus barrel engraved 'Edward Paton, 44 George Street Perth' fitted with folding two leaf sight, platinum breech plug and underside ramrod. The lock engraved with scrollwork and maker name, the chequered figured stock fitted with sling swivel, the spur trigger guard with pineapple finial bearing the gun serial number, the butt plate tang bearing calibre designation .451. The oak case with brass corners, lined in green and containing cleaning rod, round ball mould, Sykes brass powder flask, short starter, powder funnel, nipple key, wad or patch punch, rosewood box of percussion caps, and cap tin. Section 58(2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Percussion Neapolese Brunswick rifle, 30 inch barrel rifled with two grooves for a belted bullet, fitted with a bayonet bar and folding leaf sight, back action lock, brass furniture including patch box and scroll trigger guard. Section 58(2) antique/ obsolete calibre no licence required to buy this lot, purchaser must be over the age of 18. Photo ID will be required if the lot is to be posted out.118cm long The gun looks like it has been rebuilt from old parts, there are new looking '30' stamps which are probably assembly marks. The barrel has been refinished and has pitting throughout the bore. The lock works but not very well fails to lock back on full. It has some pitting and signs of being polished up. The stock is probably newer to the gun, there are some cracks and losses to the thin part of the forend where it meets the barrel, there is a short crack to the butt. The patch box is missing the spring catch. Some screw heads are chewed.

Deactivated Winchester 1892 .44 lever action saddle ring carbine 20 inch barrel, serial number 771859 for 1914.Deactivated to current EU/UK specifications with certificate. No licence required to purchase. Buyer must be over the age of 18. Photo ID will be required if the lot is to be posted out. 96cm long The carbine has a good trail-worn look to it with lots of dents, marks and history. It has been fully reblued, there is some light pitting that can be seen under the refinish work. The stamped markings are still quite visible and have not been worn down from the refinish. Working the lever moves the slide forward and backwards and the hammer reciprocates but does not cock or dry fire. The stock has lots of dents, stains and marks, there is a filled patch at the wrist on the lower right side where the wood meets the action.
