Paint looks thin. Continental stretcher. Old Christie's stencil to the reverse. Oil on canvas. Oil on canvas which has been lined and has a circular patch on reverse near centre. Paint layers thin and abraded in many areas. Retouching well matched to the original. Varnish is even and semi-matte. Frame in good condition.
K *** Swift (British, 19th Century) Portrait of a young boy, seated, wearing Highland dress, his arm upon his pet mastiff, hills beyond signed centre right "K Swift / 1866" oil on canvas 145 x 102cm (57 x 40in) Provenance: By descent within the family of the sitter One old repaired tear. Oil on canvas which is unlined. The canvas is very slack and there are undulations across the surface. The original dimensions of the painting have been extended by the artist who has used the original tacking edge along the left side. There is a patch on the reverse at the lower left corner securing a tear in the area of the dog's face which has been retouched. There are a few minor areas of loss and scuffs but overall the paint layer is in a good condition. The painting has a thin, streaky layer of varnish which has yellowed and is noticeable in the lighter areas of the sky. The frame has a few small chips and losses.
§ Sydney Percy Kendrick (British, 1874-1955) Portrait of a young boy in a tartan kilt, probably Royal Stewart, in kilt and sporran signed and dated lower left "Sydney P Kendrick '30" oil on canvas 130 x 83cm (51 x 32in) One old repaired tear to the left of the sitter on the rocks. Oil on canvas unlined but with large patch at lower left edge, securing an old tear which has been mended and retouched. Canvas is slightly slack with stretcher bar marks starting to show. In the red areas of paint there is minor tenting in a vertical direction, this has led to small areas of loss, some of which are retouched. Other small areas of retouching cover small losses. Otherwise paint layer in a good condition. Varnish is even but slightly yellowed. Small chips and losses to the frame.
A George III mahogany chest of drawers, with a slide and four long graduated drawers, brass swan neck handles, on ogee bracket feet 84 x 86 x 45cm (33 x 34 x 18in) Faded with patch and marks to the top and sun bleached at one end. The carcase rail below the brushing slide has warped inward, there are two handles missing.

Two vintage 1960s items consisting of a 1960s orange check PROVA dress in terylene viscose, good condition, vintage size 16 and a RARE late 60s CORAL REEF ladies flared safari suit in turquoise blue. The suit features a pair of 30 inch waist, staypress flares with patch pockets and a long sleeve safari jacket with patch pockets and wide lapels. Very good condition (appears unworn). Kumeno Teitaro of Nagoya - Ginbari enamel and silver baluster shaped vase decorated with two Cranes on a rock amongst waves, the sun sets in the distance, base with signature, 23cm high Condition: There is a 12cm x 10cm brown patch above the back of the lower of the two birds which has a crack running around the outside of it, this is possibly where water has got beneath the 'glaze', there are two 10cm hairline stress cracks to the right of the upper bird and two similar cracks above the beak of the upper bird, there is a small black 'dot' on the opposite side of the vase approx halfway up, - please see images - **General condition consistent with age
A rare early and important pewter porringer, circa 1655, by Edward Ward of London (fl.1641-1674) PS 9865, with owner's house mark and initials of H over RF struck on the ear and touch mark dated 1642 under the boss, overall diamter 7 1/2 inch, 192mm, with leather repair patch in the bowlProvenance & Literature: Ex Sutherland Graeme and Bradshaw Collections. Three 19th century Spode blue and white and painted table wares, bowl, small plate and ashette. Largest diameter 26 cm. CONDITION REPORT: All three pieces are in generally very good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The large bowl is very crisp and bright with only very minor paint losses to the rim. The underside of the bowl is scuffed around the foot rim and there is some evidence of crazing. There is one small patch of discolouration. The oval plate is similarly in good condition with minor rubbing to the edge paintwork. The underside is also scratched and a little dirty particularly where the base would sit on the table. The small plate is not quite as bright as the other two. The underside is scuffed and dirty particularly around the section where it meets the table. There are two areas of quite thin glaze.
A George III mahogany bowfronted chest of drawers, with crossbanded and boxwood strung edge above four long graduated drawers with brass drop handles, oval backplates, cockbeading and boxwood stringing to each drawer front, shaped apron and raised on splayed bracket feet. Width 98 cm. CONDITION REPORT: : Generally good condition. There are minor losses to the veneer on the back edge. There is a small rectangular patch to the cross banding to the left and right hand top corners. There is a 3cm section of box wood stringing missing from the top left corner. There are minor nibbles to the veneers at the front edge but are insignificant. Sides are in generally good condition. All drawer fronts are in good order with no losses to the cop beading. Door 2 has a veneer patch bottom left hand corner. There are slight nibbles to the veneers around the drawer runners. There is a repair above the lock on the runner to drawers 3 & 4. The bracket feet are original and in good order. The handles if not original go through the original holes.
