A late 18th century shagreen toothpick holder, the interior with plush lining and remnants of mirror silvering to a glass, now loose, collector's label '31', 10cm, and two 18th century shagreen patch boxes, mirror cracked to one, interior lined in the other, both with collector's labels, '60' and '26', 5 and 5.5cm
A fine cased mid 19th century double barrelled 14 bore officer’s percussion howdah pistol, by Trulock & Son, Dublin, 12½” overall, deeply etched imitation damascus sighted barrels 6¾” with swivel ramrod beneath, the top rib engraved “Truelock & Son, Dublin”, the signed back action bolted locks engraved with fern tip borders and scrolls; highly polished halfstock with slightly flattened chequered butt and steel mounts including scroll engraved trigger guard, fern tip engraved butt cap and long slender hinged trap which forms an extension to the breech tang and has provision for 2 balls and 4 percussion caps. GWO and Crisp Condition, the trigger guard and butt cap retaining traces of original blued finish; in its green baize lined brass bound fitted oak case with rectangular brass lid escutcheon, containing 16 bore pincer mould, copper flask by Sykes retaining much original lacquer, nipple key with ribbed handle, turnscrew with ebony handle, brass mounted loading/cleaning rod with jag, japanned tin for 1½” rifle patches, 1-3/8” patch cutter, pewter oil bottle, turned wood box containing percussion caps, and a later cap tin. A 14 bore percussion big game rifle, by G.E. Walker, “from Purdeys”, 46½” overall, octagonal twist barrel 30” with folding leaf rearsight and engraved “G E Walker, Newbury, late with J. Purdey, 314½ Oxford St, London” (rather faint), the breech with two platinum lines and engraved with a stag’s head, the scroll engraved tang with vignette of tiger’s head; the flat bolted lock engraved with border, scrolls, big cat (tiger?) and “Walker from Purdeys”; dark walnut halfstock with horn fore end cap, chequered fore end and wrist, and cheek piece; steel mounts including large trigger guard containing single set trigger, hand grip behind trigger guard, and circular patch box engraved with stags (faint); with loops for sling swivels and original horn tipped ebony ramrod. Good Working Order and Condition (the barrel well rebrowned, the mounts have been pitted and refinished). Plate 34

A rare Staffordshire figure of a crouching rabbit, decorated with sponged black glaze on a green mound. Length 15cm. Circa 1850. (See illustration) Condition Report: Green base is flaking and some tiny foot chips. There is a kiln contact mark on the back, a patch of stain on the base and some shrinkage cracks.
19th C porcelain patch pot with silver overlaid decoration, 5cm diam a/f, silver fronted circular embossed photograph frame, 17cm diam, 4 Chinese white coloured metal tea spoons, penkives, etc.. Condition - Patch pot badly damaged. Photograph frame has a couple of small holes and is coming away from the velvet backing in places.

Attractive Tekke Turkmen ensi, Turkmenistan, circa 1900, 5ft. 3in. x 4ft. 1.60m. x 1.22m. Overall wear, slightly heavier in some places; outer guard top end re-woven; small split lower end with fabric patch sewn verso. Excellent variety of colour throughout and finely woven with a soft handle.

An American Percussion Plains Rifle by Leman, 37.25inch barrels the upper being rifled and the lower for shot, border engraved locks signed LEMAN LANCTR. PA and decorated with scrolling foliage, set trigger, tiger stripe stock, brass mounts including patch box, the lid decorated with scrolling foliage, complete with both rifle and shot cleaning rods.

An 18th century bureau bookcase, veneered in walnut, the bookcase section having a pair of panel doors centred by a fluted Corinthian column, enclosing adjustable shelves, the bureau having a fall front with feather crossbanding revealing a fitted interior with a well, above three graduated long drawers, 110 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by RB Very much in a market fresh condition. The Bookcase Section: On opening the pair of doors there is a section of veneer inset into the right hand door, and some of the veneer missing to the top corner, with a few old repairs, but still requiring some work as there is some veneer lifting. The back board has split and cracked, and has a few holes drilled into it, and there are a couple of patch repairs to the sides and some of the moulding missing to the front. The Bureau: A few patch repairs, you should be able to see the missing moulding section to the top right hand corner, there is a stepped interior, with a few loose parts in drawers, the leather to the inset panel is modernish, the drawer handles have been replaced and lacks its feet, the fall front is slightly warped (as is usual), and the right hand side rail/runner is missing a moulding section. Overall it appears a good honest bureau bookcase, now requiring some repair and restoration (although it has had some work done to it previously) Report by GH Height - 207 cm.
A George V hallmarked silver and yellow enamel decorated powder/patch box of circular form with bow pinned brooch suspending the circular lidded box, with lid decorated with three roses enclosing a mirror to the lid and gilt washed interior, Chester 1925, diameter 4.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some areas of rubbing and loss to the raised parts of the bow, some surface scratches, but the main body of the piece appears in good condition.
