One clip securing barrel broken and glued. One bracket/handle to rear 'stock' damaged and missing. Knocks, splits, losses and areas of repair throughout.
A pair of Japanese bronze 'rat' candlesticks, Meiji period, each cast and modelled as rat holding a root vegetable, incised Kakihan mark to base, 16cm and 17cm highCONDITION: The rat holding a carrot like vegetable has some re-pinning to its right paw to support the carrot and has a repaired tail with some either solder or glue around the area adjoining to the body, the second rat holding a globular root vegetable has got a replacement tail done in patinated white metal, there is also a large patch of coloured wax to the base maybe hiding a casting imperfection, there has been some restoration to the leaves for the nozzles of the candles, otherwise in reasonable condition.

A pair of large German porcelain models of raptors, late 19th century, each seated upon a tree stump, one looking down at a nest and the other a squirrel, the stumps encrusted with branches, flowers and insects, pseudo gold anchor marks, 37cm and 39cmCONDITION: Both with typical minor losses to the encrusted branches and flowers, the example with a raptor hunting a squirrel - the raptors tail has been broken off and re-attached with discoloured restoration around the area, there is also a crack across the base, not visible to each side, and the second raptor with a bird nest has some discoloured restoration to a patch on one side of the base with a hairline crack visible underneath.

Follower of Sir Nathaniel Dance-Holland RA (1735-1811) Portrait of Robert B Sheridan (according to label verso), half length, wearing a powdered wig, red jacket with white waistcoat and cravat, holding a book in his left hand Oil on canvas, 74cm by 61cm See illustration . label to reverse stating from O Woodcock Collection. in restored condition, relined, cleaned and revarnished. there is an upturned L shaped repair with associated retouching just above his right hand eyebrow approx 3cm on the horizontal. other areas of minor and sporadic, delicate retouching and infilling of old flaked paint within the base and background in general. there is a [patch of infilling to old craquelure around the mans hand and book which is inconsistant and approx 7 x 5cm overall. further larger patch of overpainting to lower part of gentlemans jacket on the viewers left, roughly 25cm on the horizontal by 8cm. some surface dirt and discoloured varnish. retains some original surface impasto following restoration process. areas of isolated stable craquelure. subtle stretcher shadow. minor rubbing to left hand edge.

Beetle – box a little tatty, a few paint loss spots, one number door decal peeling a little at one corner, no decal above number plate. Beach buggy – box a little tatty, paint loss, quite a big patch on front of bonnet, silvering missing on tips of exhaust pipes. Ford Zodiac box – a bit tatty, contains wrong car, has an ‘Opel Diplomat’ car, opening bonnet to reveal an engine, good condition.

Splits cracks and restoration to crossbanding, some scratches, wear and stains to carcase, interior good, (appears have been well and completely restored in recent years) patches and repairs to legs and lower frieze, patch / repairs back feet, handles replaced.
A 19TH CENTURY CARVED SHOW WOOD TWO-SEATER SALON SOFA, acanthus carved back, scroll carved arms on cabriole supports, upholstered in floral regency stripe fabric to the seat, back and arm pads, 117cm high, to top of central crest, 152cm wide (to extremities)Condition report – Top back centre of the crest the scroll has been off in the past, evidence of old glue and visible cracks. Cracks / restoration both sides where the arms joins the back frame, cracks to scrolls of arms at front, a little loss and patch to front left one. Scar damage to the left side of the seat carcase, chip / loss to carving below scroll of right arm, back right foot missing castor, replaced with a rolling ball castor, haven’t seen any wormwood, the back of the wood frame is faded and the surface is rough, I would suggest that it has been sat for a long time in a low window or French doors, and become sun faded. The upholstery is okay, the occasional ‘spot’, the frame is sound, the spring seat is good and very comfortable, a good sitting height, more comfortable than other ‘fancy’ occasional sofas I have seen.
A PAIR OF GOOD QUALITY REPRODUCTION POLLARD WALNUT CIRCULAR TOPPED LAMP / SIDE TABLES purchased at 'Brights of Nettlebed', having pierced gallery, supported on three inswept supports, smaller circular galleried undertier, the whole standing on a tric orn plinth base, with turned feet below, 71cm x 46cm, inclusive of galleryCondition report – A few minor scratches to the top of one, the same one also has a patch on the undertier a few cm’s in diameter, some loss to the wood finish, a few little ‘kick’ marks to feet. There are blemishes which are part of the veneer, and ‘ageing’ of the pieces in manufacture. Overall good condition is good, pleasing colour, the ‘darkened’ down brass takes the ’new’ edge off them, great as a useful pair of decorative tables.

With a carved square, hardwood stand. 48 cm high (without stand ) x 20 cm wide.Condition report: Old repairs to the body of the figure and her left hand/arm is missing from her vacant sleeve. Her head has most likely been off as there are signs of restoration around the neck. There is a patch of restoration on her right shoulder. A small loss to the tie holding up her hair. A very large patch of restoration down her right arm and across her bask and to the lower rear section.Old restoration throughout.

Old veneer patch to the left back edge of the carcass. The mirror plate is peppered with small losses in the silvering and the whole plate has a "glitter" to it from age-related deterioration.
