MANTON & SON', figured walnut half-stock (cracked behind barrel-tang, fore-end cracked through and repaired in front of barrel-bolt), chequered grip and fore-end, border engraved iron mounts including hinged patch-box cover, silver escutcheon, iron sling eyes, and original brass-mounted ramrod with worm (cover missing), the locks and tang retaining some original faded case-hardened finish, London proof marks.
