Queen - A blue padded body warmer issued to the band and crew members for the Japan tour in 1982, this one worn by Peter Hince, with embroidered patch in Japanese. Size small. Provenance: This item was consigned by Peter Hince. Peter 'Ratty' Hince met Queen in 1973 when they were opening for Mott the Hoople, began working full-time for the band in 1975 during recording of their A Night at the Opera album, and stayed on as the head of their road crew until their final concert in 1986. No copyright is assigned with this item.
Two Japanese ivory okimono, Meiji, carved as a samurai being dressed in armour by an assistant, the details picked out in black, the other as a man holding his geta shoe, a gentle smile upon his face, signed, 5.2cm & 5.8cm high respectivelyCondition report: The samurai has a very fine age crack on the far right side of his face, which is not instantly obvious to the naked eye, but visible using a magnifier. Otherwise it appears to be in good condition with no further obvious faults. The figure with shoe has two small chips to the underside edge of his robe, a small plain patch on the underside of his right foot, otherwise in good condition with no further obvious faults visible.
A cranberry flash glass huqqa pipe bowl, the bell shape body with engraved leaves between bands of leafy fronds, heightened with gilding, 23cm high, 20.5cm diameter at baseCondition report: On the rim, there looks to be a chip, but is in fact a small piece of missing gilding missing, the decanter is free from any obvious chips or cracks. A small patch of flashing missing from the interior, located partially on the base rising ever so slightly upwards.

The crescent form brooch appears in good order throughout though there is a patch to the centre at rear which is assumed to be part of the original construction strengthening a weak section. If not, it has been there for some time. The navete form brooch appears to be in good order throughout

Gerald Leslie Brockhurst (1890-1978)/Chiquita (1923/4)/signed in pencil/etching, 16.5cm x 13.25cm/Brockhurst attended Birmingham School of Art, winning prizes which enabled him to travel widely in Europe, where he studied and was influenced by the works of the Renaissance artists. His early portraits were often modelled on his wife, but he soon gained prominence as a portrait painter of important society figures including the Duchess of Windsor. His fame grew when he moved to New York in 1939, and in 1951 he was elected into the National Academy of Design. CONDITION REPORT: Print looks a little grubby but otherwise fair condition - there is a small patch of foxing to the top right. There is more noticeable foxing to the mount and some thunderbugs under the glass. A Chinese 19th C. Qing Dynasty Silk embroidered dragon skirt. With gold thread decoration of five-clawed dragons in roundels with a sing dragon is square patch near the waist. 104cm length. Provenance: Canadian private collection since the 1920’s. Purchased by the Grandfather of the owner during his travels to the Far East. Thus by decent and relocated to the UK in the 1960’s.

There is a tiny section of small wood repair to the hexagonal lower platform. The top appears to be contemporary with the base.
