*Sylvia Bergin Rowley (1904-1999) 'See The Country In Spring', late 1920s-1930s signed 'Sylvia Bergin' l.l., gouache 50 x 37cm Sylvia Bergin Rowley left school at sixteen to study at St Martins College of Art. In 1930, she married Owen Rowley. The couple travelled extensively, living for a time in Glasgow and then Manchester where they came to know LS Lowry and were invited on painting trips by him. Returning to London with their son Christopher after the Second World War, Rowley became part of an artistic London set, teaching at the Grosvenor School of Art and also at the Heatherley under Iain Macnab. From the 1960s onwards she dedicated herself to painting, exhibiting at the RA Summer Exhibitions. She and her husband also held a two-man show at Sadler's Wells (1976). The presentation comprising; a Sheriff's Honorary Commission notice named to Prowse, Prowse's 'Special Deputy' card and number, the original Sheriff's badge and Rogers County uniform patch. All neatly framed. Total size; 40x32cm.

Estate of Dave Prowse - The Inquisitors (1968 LWT TV Series of which three episodes were made, but then canned and never shown) - Prowse's original LWT Rehearsal production script for the series in which he played the part of a bodyguard. The show also featuring Tony Selby, Alan Lake, Diana Dors, Maureen Lipman and was written by Roy Clarke. Accompanied by a letter to Prowse from the studio, sending the script and inviting him to the studio. 'David Prowse' written to the corner. No annotations, lacking the back cover. Script complete. Scarce piece of television history. In 1968 London Weekend Television had just taken over the weekend franchise for the London area and one of their first big crime shows was to have been The Inquisitors, three episodes were completed but the series was then canned and never shown. One of the three episodes to have been finished was The Peeling of Sweet P. Lawrence which gave a prominent guest role to Diana Dors who was going through something of a fallow patch in her career. Appearing on the show would turn out to be very significant for series star Alan Lake and Diana. They quickly fell in love and married soon after on November 23, 1968. The colours of the silk are bright and attractive, see the natural light photos. There is one small dark stain to a dragon scale, evident in catalogue photo. A 3cm by 5cm patch of dark blue silk to bottom left corner. Some irregular darns along the bottom edge backed by dark blue silk. A central darn to dragons left jaw.  Mounted on a pale cream silk mount, encased in Perspex and ready to hang.
