An oak joint stool, 50 cm wide, an oak bible box with carved decoration 65 cm wide, a mahogany toilet mirror with box base, 50 cm wide, and two dining chairs (5) Condition report Report by RB The stool top is warped, has a small patch put into it, is burnt, and gouged, a section missing to one corner, the legs with splits and loss to the bottom sections, one stretched damaged. Overall from a Somerset country house, very much in a market fresh condition, now requiring restoration, treatment for woodworm etc.
Moorcraft, Paul Contact II - Struggle For Peace - Limited Edition, signed 4to An excellent copy of the scarce limited, numbered edition, and signed by eight dignitaries, including Ian Smith and General Walls; this copy being #13/100, in cloth slip-case and pictorial box, bound in elephant hide with brass edging and Rhodesian coat-of-arms on the front cover, and spine title comprising a brass plate. Condition: the brass surround has a few small areas of tarnishing, otherwise bright, with the elephant hide being somewhat faded. The contents are in near-fine condition, with a small patch of light foxing to the front paste-down. The signature page has eight of nine signatures, Commissioner P.K.Allum`s absent due to `the changed political circumstances in 1980` as stated on the loosely inserted sheet signed by Moorcraft. The cloth slip-case is in excellent condition, and the box enclosing it is marked and rubbed, with one corner bumped, causing a little split. All in all, a superb example of this scarce historical document. near fine Johannesburg Sygma Press 1981
Bond, Mrs James How 007 Got His Name 8vo With two black and white photos and five bird sketches. An entertaining account of how Ian Fleming used the name of an American ornithologist who wrote a book about West Indian birds, for his fictional secret agent, including details of the only meeting between Fleming and the real James Bond; 62pp. Book condition: green cloth boards in very good condition, end-papers unmarked, text and binding good except for previous owner ink stamps on title page and various other random places throughout the book (mostly in the margins). Jacket condition: very good, not price-clipped, wear to edges; small patch of loss to head of spine, rear panel rubbed. Two owner ink-stamps on inside of rear panel, which have now leached through. The jacket is now protected by a Brodart plastic sleeve. good London Collins 1966

A DERBY PASTORAL OR FOUNTAIN GROUP ascribed to Pierre Stephan, with a piping shepherd standing beside a sleeping shepherdess before a classical urn and dolphin fountain, the waters cascading into a shell basin, on sprigged rocky mound with a lamb, painted with puce or purple flowers and roses heightened in gilt, 31cm h, patch marks, collector`s label, c1770 Provenance: John H Cottam Collection, No 83. Lot 47 in the Derby Sale Catalogue of 10 February 1773 was "a pastoral group finely modelled with an antique vase, enanel`d and elegantly finish`d£3.2.6d". A similar example is illustrated Bradshaw (Peter), Derby Porcelain Figures 1750-1848, 1990, fig 136. An attractive example of this scarce Derby model in unusually good condition with small restoration to the flute and part of the female figure`s left foot

Three Delightful Patch Boxes: An 18th Century Limoges enamel box of bulging rectangular form exquisitely decorated in meticulous detail throughout and depicting cherubs representing the arts in scrolling cartouches, with scenic panels to the interior, 1½ ins x 3 ins x 2 ins (3.5 cms x 7 cms x 5 cms). A 19th Century rectangular box with cushion lid and fluted sides; the lid printed in puce with a shepherd with donkey travelling through landscape clobbered in enamels, the yellow glazed sides dotted with floral sprigs, 1¼ ins x 2¾ ins x 2 ins (3 cms x 7 cms x 5 cms). The third box being round with a romantic scene to the lid depicting couples in landscape, and lavender blue glazed moulded sides decorated with floral sprays in raised white enamel, 1 inch (2.5 cms) high, 1¾ ins (4.5 cms) in diameter.
A Chinese cylindrical vase polychrome decorated with carp in naturalistic pond setting with script verso with slightly flared rim, raised on a circular foot, bears oxide red seal mark to base, 29 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with general wear and scuffs, crazing to glaze, the decoration has an iridescent finish and there is a large circular patch to one side where the painted strokes suggesting the water appear to have been blotted out/missing (see photo). Age not known.
An early 19th Century Bilston enamel patch box, the hinged cover decorated with birds amongst blossom and inscribed "Tho Abi... Not Forgotten" (A/F), 4 cm CONDITION REPORTS Large chip missing to enamel to lid, and some cracking to enamel, cracks to white enamel to interior, some cracking and pitting to blue enamel to exterior. Size approx. 4.2 cm x 4 cm wide maximum including hinges, etc.
A George III mahogany straight front chest, the rectangular moulded edge top over two short and three long graduated drawers with brass swan neck handles, raised on shallow bracket feet, 109 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Has various deep scratches and some fading to the top, some slight water marks to top, knocks and bumps throughout to all edges conducive with age and general wear, there is a split on the left side as you look at the chest from the base to approx. a third of the way up, and a split running from top to bottom on the other side, on the top there is an approx. 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm piece of veneer missing from one edge, drawers all appear quite faded in colour (due to being in sunlight), top left drawer missing beading to edge completely on the left side, handles are probably replacements, there has been a patch repair approx. 1.5 cm x 1 cm above the left hand top drawer just above the key escutcheon on the top edge, the central long drawer has a very deep scratch/knock running from top to bottom (please see photo), although the chest appears sound it would benefit greatly from sympathetic restoration and polishing.

A studio ceramic bottle vase, celadon glazed with black/brown blotches, 22cm (8.5") high, a glazed pottery bowl and a quantity of studio ceramics Condition Report: Brown bowl with a running green glaze to rim. There is a green resin circular patch at the centre of the interior - as there appears to be no damage to the foot or inside of the footrim, the reason for this patch is unknown. All other items are in good condition.
Wedgwood figure of Cybele , modelled standing beside a lion on turned base, impressed `Wedgwood` only, 19th century, 23cm high Condition report: She lacks a cornucopia shaped candle stick which the figure was originally produced with, there are some of her fingers missing and rough patch of coat where the candlestick would have joined the figure. Rare eighteenth century Bilston enamel patch box in the form of a spaniel seated on a cushion, the hinged lid decorated with a landscape and a seated lady holding a spaniel in the foreground, 4cm high x 5cm diameter CONDITION REPORT Lid is loose from the body. Patch approximately 1cm is chipped and cracked on enamel lid and has several hairline cracks on underside. The cushion is badly chipped and split all the way round. The spaniel itself has some surface scratching
Japanese silver and cloisonné enamel koro with pierced cover by Namikawa Yasuyuki (1845-1927), Meji period, alternating panels finely decorated with flowers and butterflies on yellow and black ground standing on a circular silver base with three feet. Signed on underside to raised tablet Kyoto Namikawa, 9cm high CONDITION REPORT Two patches of beading on the rim of enamelled lid missing. 1.5cm and 0.5cm. One panel has a patch of damage comprising of a chip to enamel and several small hairline cracks, affecting 2cm high and 1cm wide. Two of the silver feet have been pushed in and the silver base is coming away in two patches and has possibly been re-attached at a previous date. Otherwise the koro is in good original condition with the enamels bright
Pair of Regency ormolu lustres with scrolled acanthus leaf arms and urn-shaped sconces, surrounded by ormolu scroll arms suspending cut glass prismatic drops, mounted ormolu ornaments of greyhounds, on rectangular white marble bases, 24cm high CONDITION REPORT Max width - 19cm. Depth 8cm. Left lustre - patch of discolouration to marble at the base of tail and centre of dog. Several small nibbles around edge of base and two small chips. Right lustre - patch of discolouration on front of marble. Some minor nibbling around edge of base. Otherwise both in good condition
