A late 18th century George III period breakfront mahogany and rosewood crossbanded serving table; single flush drawer and raised on square tapering legs terminating in spade feet, 186cm wide x 57cm deep x 91cm high CONDITION REPORT: The back left hand part has a 1cm square piece of crossbanding away and at the front the veneers placed above the top of the drawer there is a 2cm section of veneer away. The top looks quite nice, there is some scratching and old scuffing also there is quite a large darkish patch to the centre which runs pretty much from the front to back from three quarters of the way. The frieze is a little faded compared to the polished top and would benefit from a polish. The frieze appears dry whilst the top which has had a polish at some stage. Scratching and scuffs to the spade feet commensurate with age.
Theatrical interest: An English enamel patch box c.1780-1800, the oval form printed in black to the cover with a head and shoulders portrait of R B Sheridan, titled, the sides and base enamelled in pink, a mirror fitted to the inside of the cover, some cracking and chipping, 4.7cm. Provenance: the Watney Collection. Richard Brinsley Butler Sheridan (30 October 1751 - 7th July 1816) was an Irish, satirist, playwright and proprietor of The London Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He was also a Whig MP between 1780 and 1812.

WW2 British Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Air Landing Maroon Beret, very good example of the classic WW2 maroon beret issued to the British airborne forces. Fitted with brass REME kings crown cap badge. Leather trim and black cloth lining to the interior. Leather patch over the gromets and lining stamped with war department broad arrow and date letter “Z” (1945). Beret shows just light service wear.
WW2 American M42 Re-Enforced Jump Jacket, typical issue jump jacket that has had the elbows and lower pockets rigger re-enforced . This modification was carried out just prior to D-Day as the garment had proved to be too lightweight in construction for prolonged combat .This jackets re-enforcement is of the type being prescribed in orders issued by the 82nd Airborne division . The shoulder patch is of the 82nd and US invasion flag patch to the other arm. Jacket remains a good displayable condition throughout with signs of field use, fading and period repairs .Waist belt is now absent.
American 23rd HQ Special Troops “Ghost Army” Patch, fine embroidered example, appears to be uniform removed. 23rd HQ Special Troops were a 1,100 man unit who was given a unique mission within the Allied Army to impersonate other Allied Army units to deceive the enemy. From a few months after D-Day, when they landed in France, until the end of the war, they put on a "traveling road show" utilizing inflatable tanks, sound trucks, fake radio transmissions, scripts and pretence. They staged more than 20 battlefield deceptions, often operating very close to the front lines.

Pink dress - tiny stitched repair to the back of the skirt, sleeve seam open, slight wear overall, belt missing.

Black button crepe dress - some buttons loose or missing, couple of small holes to the chiffon trim and some light spotting. Couple of small holes to the hem area front and back, and overall. Some fading and wear. Red and black dress - slight wear and fading, some wear to the button fastening at back of collar. Grey dress with embroidery - staining/discolouration to the top of the dress, couple of tiny holes overall and slight wear. Red and cream dress - slight discolouration and staining to one sleeve, buttons chipped, fabric covered buttons worn, splits to the silk on the back of the neck and top of shoulder, stitched repair to the back of the dress, some wear overall.

Elizabeth green jacket - some wear to the lining, couple of tiny holes to the jacket and slight wear. Dereta jacket, slight wear.

Numerous loose threads, embroidered edging worn in areas especially to the collar. Replacment patch to the lining, some discolouration and wear overall.

Rare 1942 Dated Airborne Forces Denison Smock green, tan and brown camouflaged smock. Full length front zip. Patch chest pockets and lower pockets, all with flaps secured by brass press studs. Cuffs with woollen tightening bands and no tightening strap. Rear crotch strap, not with securing press studs on the back panel. Internal issue label "Smocks Denison (Airborne Troops)" dated "1942". Clean condition.
