Engraved decoration slightly worn. Cover damaged on leading edge and both corners. Marks slightly rubbed. Georgian vinaigrette - surface wear, dents and scratches commensurate with age and use. Grille distorted and hinge damaged. Marks clear. Victorian vinaigrette - general overall condition good. Minor surface wear, denting and scratching commensurate with age and use. Gilding is worn. Both hinges secure and not damaged. Marks slightly rubbed
10 Cents. 1935. ICCS graded Gem Uncirculated-65. The very lowest mintage of all George V ten cents, with only 384,056 pieces having been produced The strike on this piece is bold and sharp. Only a few grazes hold this coin back from a higher grade, which no example has attained from ICCS. Tones of pale gold ring the perimeter, with a patch of burnt orange and indigo above the obverse and reverse crowns. Superior eye appeal.

A US Army olive green linen combat shirt, with black and olive green shoulder patches for the 173rd Airborne Brigade and 1st Armoured Division (Old Ironsides), paratroops breast badge over “US Army” patch, and name patch “Joiner”. In freshly laundered and pressed condition. The vendor states that Joiner took part in the D day landing on Omaha beach, the shirt being later left in a laundry in Le Havre and never reclaimed, as the owner was later killed in action. It was retrieved when the laundry was demolished on redevelopment in the 1960s.

William Traies [1789-1872]- An upland river landscape, figures in the foreground, hills beyond:- signed and dated 1859 bottom centre right oil on canvas 62 x 87.5cm. * Biography. Born in Crediton, Devon in 1789, Traies gained a reputation as The Devon Claude through his well conceived, romantic and idealized landscapes. He exhibited at the R.A. and The Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. His patrons included the Rev Carrington of Bridford and Rev Patch of Trinity in Exeter. He had a studio at Whiteway, Chudleigh for 40 years. He died in 1872 at Parkeswell Cottage, Topsham Road, Exeter.
