Yazd zil-i-sultan carpet, central Persia, circa 1930s-40s, 10ft. 4in. X 7ft. 6in. 3.15m. 2.29m. Overall wear; with patch and heavier wear and repairs to the top end of the field. Cream field with all over zil-i-sultan design with pairs of birds among the flowers; cream main border of cartouches with pale blue floral guards.
Talish long rug, south east Caucasus, late 19th/early 20th century, 8ft. 2in. X 3ft. 5in. 2.49m.x 1.04m. Overall even wear; some repiling in places; small hole to field; some repairs; patch to upper left corner. Narrow field composed of diagonal stripes in a variety of colours; wide ivory main border of rosettes; terracotta rosette outer guard; inner guard in terracotta and pale blue with reciprocal medachyl design. Lustrous wool and rich palette.

A rare believed original pre-WWII Second World War Third Reich Nazi Party ' Zeppelin Officer's ' uniform cap badge c1937-38. The badge, depicting an eagle atop a globe with a prominent Zeppelin Airship to the centre. The Nazi swastika adorns the bottom. Makers marks to the rear for ' Munchen - 85 '. Within a cloth bullion patch. Originality unknown, and buyer discretion is advised. Otherwise a rare badge from a short-lived Zeppelin project.
A rare, unique and poignant piece of WWII Second World War history - ' Edward ' - the teddy bear of Staff Officer Acting Temporary Captain C. R. Lamb of British No. 30 Commando Assault Unit, which was carried ashore the beaches of France on D-Day and kept with him until victory in 1945. Edward was kept safely tucked inside Lamb's Bergen backpack throughout his service. After the war, Lamb made sure to pin his three miniature medals to his companion's chest, where they have remained ever since. The medal trio comprising of the 1939-45 Star, Defense Medal and War Medal. The bear being a British made teddy, with wood wool stuffing, horizontally stitched nose and jointed limbs. Suffering some damage over time, including a repair to one arm. With Lambs' original '30' Commando uniform patch. The bear is void of all fur and comes 'well loved'. Measures approx; 40cm tall.No. 30 Commando, from 1943–1946 known as 30 Assault Unit, was a British Commando unit during the Second World War, originally formed to gather intelligence. Interestingly, one of the key figures involved in its organisation was Commander Ian Fleming (later author of the James Bond 007 novels). 30AU took part in D-Day and the subsequent Normandy Campaign. One detachment, code-named Pikeforce, landed on Juno Beach. Its major task on D-Day was the capture of a radar station at Douvres-la-Delivrande, north of Caen (although the defending Germans held out until 17 June).[2] Led by Squadron Leader David Nutting (RAF), a detachment code-named Woolforce (commanded by Colonel A. R. Wooley), landed at Utah Beach on D-Day plus 4, tasked with examining suspected German V-1 missile sites. 30AU also took part in the capture of Cherbourg. They launched an assault on Octeville – a suburb to the south west of port. This was the location of the Kriegsmarine naval intelligence HQ known as Villa Meurice which the Commandos captured along with 20 officers and 500 men. Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson of Kilburn, a large oak refectory table raised on two faceted supports united by a central stretcher, the adzed top with scallops and with signature mouse climbing up one support, the table 244cm long x 90.5cm wide x 72cm high, sold together with eight oak lattice-back chairs with tan leather seats (signature mouse to each right-hand leg). Provenance: Originally bought new from the Mouseman Workshops by the present vendor's parents circa 1970sThe Auctioneer reports that there is some wear to the varnish, mostly to tops of edges of scallops; there is a foot patch of varnish away from the top; there are some water stains to the leather seats and the wood on the chairs but the chairs seem sturdy enough.

They had a large and discerning collection of antiques including these two paintings and they have been in the family certainly since the Victorian period.There is a small patch repair as can been seen in the additional images. The painting has been cleaned and in all honesty this has done been done well. It has thinning paint in part.
