A Miniature bronze seal, In the form of a female portrait bust, 19th century, French. The rear engraved 'F. BARBEDIENNE', the matrix 2cm diam with no engraving, 7.5cm high. Also a Continental bronze model of a seated rabbit, with red glass eyes, 7cm long. Two turned wooden treen items, a turned wooden patch box and cover also a turned wooden circular cotton pot and cover.(6)
A 28-BORE WHEEL-LOCK SPORTING RIFLE, possibly Baltic, late 17th century, with 31 1/2in. swamped octagonal barrel rifled with twelve grooves and struck three times at the breech with the maker's mark of a standing halberdier, rear sight of one standing leaf and one folding peep-sight, flat lock with pierced and chiselled wheel-retaining bracket to the rear of the wheel, fruitwood full stock inlaid with crudely engraved staghorn roundels and shaped panels, cheek-piece and patch-box cover inlaid with staghorn plaques engraved with acorns, engraved staghorn ramrod-pipes and fore-end cap, set trigger, and iron trigger-guard.
A 54-BORE PERCUSSION SADDLE-RING SPORTING RIFLE by I. Hollis & Sons, 6, Great Winchester Street, London, circa 1887, with 25 1/4in. browned twist round barrel with Henry patent rifling and signed in full on the sighting flat, rear-sight of three folding leaves graduated to 250 yards, scroll engraved breech, case-hardened tang, signed lock, patch-box cover and butt-plate, figured walnut half-stock (numerous repairs) with chequered grip and fore-end, blued saddle-bar and scroll engraved trigger-guard, the former with two suspension rings, and later brass-tipped ramrod (refinished throughout), London black powder proof marks.
A .50 GALLAGER PATENT BREECH-LOADING PERCUSSION CAVALRY CARBINE by Richardson & Overman, Philadelphia, serial no. 12220, circa 1862, with 22 1/8in. reblued sighted barrel, back-action lock marked with maker's and patent details (markings worn), walnut butt marked with the letters 'WLC', and iron mounts including hinged patch-box cover and saddle-bar with suspension ring. Footnote: The Gallager patent carbine was issued in large numbers to Union cavalry units during the Civil War with over 23,000 being produced. It is ironic that the patentee, Mahlon Gallager, was from Savannah, Georgia. (Please see lot 481 for image)

GC, the blade retaining some original polish (small patch missing from tip of grip)

A 6 shot .36" Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver, 13?" overall, barrel 7?" with New York US America address, number 178714 on all parts (the rammer un-numbered), the cylinder retaining very faint traces of naval scene, brass trigger guard and backstrap, the former stamped "36 Cal", plain walnut grips. GWO & C (rather worn overall, particularly the grips, patch of moderate pitting to cylinder); with its scarce original flap top leather holster, with belt loop (worn and fragile commensurate with age)
