Top flat marked “CP”. Drum and nipple with unusual brass anti flash cup. Lock plate with line edge engraving, faint maker and engraved pheasant. Percussion with scroll foliage engraving. Polished half stock woodwork. Brass curved butt plate with upper and lower tangs. Brass trigger guard with double set triggers. Lead end cap. White metal patch box with oak leaf engraving. Stock inlaid with white metal star and crescent decoration. Wooden two tone decorated ramrod with brass cap.
Early 19th Century Drum and Nipple Philadelphia Kentucky Rifle80 bore, 31 1/4 inch, octagonal barrel. Front white metal blade sight and rear V sight. Drum and nipple. Lock plate with line edge engraving. Maker mark “C Bird & Co Philadelphia. Warranted”. Rear with engraved game bird. Stylised dolphin head percussion hammer with scroll foliage engraving. Polished tiger stripe maple full stock woodwork. Left side cheekpiece inlaid with silvered oval escutcheon. Forend with traces of scroll engraving. Brass curved butt plate with upper and lower tangs. Brass scroll trigger guard, double side plates, end cap, two ramrod pipes and ornate pierced and engraved patch box. Steel ramrod. Minor crack to forend.
A Very Fine Late 17th/Early 18th Century Painted, Carved and Pierced Ivory Brisé Fan, possibly Dutch, with twenty-eight inner sticks and two guards, and tortoiseshell thumb guards. The guards are carved with a figure and flowers in relief, their backgrounds of a deep powder blue, giving good contrast, some features gilded. Central to the gorge is a delicately painted oval vignette containing a portrait of a European lady who appears to be holding a bow, two further vignettes to either side with flowers, two pink roses and an orange parrot tulip. The body of the fan is in three main sections, each bordered with pairs of pierced and highly decorative gilded sticks, painted with Chinoiserie scenes, roses and tulips. The panel to the left shows a man seated on a stone terrace with balustrade, a small pond to his side with water lily leaves. The central scene shows ladies dressed in medieval costume, one with a wimple, gathering around a king on the ground, being tended by a lady, an elderly bearded man looking on. In the final panel a young woman is seated outside in a rural location. All panels are bordered in gold and surrounded by elaborate gilding and some repetition of the blue. The verso is a mirror image outline. The deep cream ribbon is plain, possibly a replacement .Guard length 23.5cm See Nancy Armstrong's ''The Book of Fans'' pages 60 and 61 for a brisé with similarities, described as Dutch.Some light rubbing, plus one small patch of missing paint in the panel to the right.
A Circa 1830's to 1840's Chinese Carved Ivory Brisé Fan, Qing Dynasty, a central oval left blank for a monogram, the remaining central continuous design being one of figures and trees with pagodas (note the unusual oval window to the right), these designs repeated in the tips. Twenty-one inner sticks, no carving to the verso. The guards are more deeply carved with figures and buildings. Guard length 18.5cmFoxed. One stick to the right side has broken and been crudely repaired (see darker patch beneath ribbon). Ribbon defective to the left side.

A Cycle of prints and drawings by Rigby Graham, Cog Press, 1968, colour and monochrome illustrations, small toned patch to front endpaper, original cloth, 4to, limited signed edition 6/45, with a presentation inscription to Alan Tucker and a loose two page letter from Graham to Tucker, plus The Golden Orchid. A Fantasy freely translated from the Sicilian by Marion Hunter, Brewhouse Press, 1975, illustrations by Rigby Graham, original cloth gilt, 4to, limited edition of 80, with five others related including Leo John de Freitas's Fish and Crutches, Rigby Graham's Woodcuts, Banholt, 1991, one of 75 copies, An Autumn Anthology, 1964, privately printed and A Publishing Adventure "Rig and Trev", Witmeha Press, 2015, limited edition of 30, this copy a complimentary copy to Alan Tucker from Trevor Hickman From the Collection of Alan and Joan Tucker, Stroud. A GERMAN WHEEL-LOCK SPORTING RIFLE CIRCA 1625, 80cm sighted octagonal slightly swamped barrel with engraved line of sight and traces of maker's stamp to the breech, plain flat lock, sliding pan cover with button release, figured fruitwood full stock, the fore-end profusely inlaid with a bordered frieze in horn with dogs, deer, stags, and hare, the sideplate area similarly inlaid but with the addition of a hunter with shouldered wheel-lock rifle, the cheek piece decorated with engraved horn plaques depicting a wooded glade with a boar being brought down by dogs and approached by three hunters, one with shouldered wheel-lock rifle, the second on horseback with boar spear, and the third on foot again with boar spear, and signed by the stock maker RL, the remainder of the stock profusely inlaid with scrolling vines and ball decoration, further applied throughout with deer, dogs, hares and stags, the barrel tang area and comb decorated with engraved horn plaques depicting stylised figures of the Green Man and a gentleman in period costume, sliding patch-box cover, horn butt-plate, iron trigger guard with set trigger, engraved horn ramrod pipes and fore-end cap, replacement horn tipped ramrod. Some replacement inlays.The stockers mark RL is possibly that listed on p.778 of Stockel and referred to as being circa 1625.
A SCARCE BAKER CAVALRY RIFLE OR CARBINE, 20.5cm sighted damascus barrel, stepped and bolted lock stamped with a crown over GR and TOWER across the tail, full stocked with regulation brass and steel mounts, the butt with patch box, saddle bar and ring mounted on the left side, swivel ramrod. See pg 75 British Military Longarms 1715-1815 by D.W. Bailey.
A George III mahogany serpentine dressing chest, the top drawer with leather inset slide above various lidded compartments, all above three further drawers, with brass carrying handles to the sides, 82cm x 93cm Condition Report: Top with 1in. loss to crossbanding back left and smaller area to back right corner. Several later patches to crossbanding at rear and sides. Oval banding in good condition but with small patch approximately 2in x 1.5in. near back left side. Area of staining to right of oval panel. Later leather to brushing slide. Fitted boxes within in good condition, some staining. Loss to cockbeading of second drawer top left. Loss of crossgrain centre beneath bottom drawer. Both bracket feet have been cracked and one has small loss of veneer. Canted corners with small veneer loss and small replacement. Side beading above shaped apron missing to left and right. With original brass carrying handles. Colour and patina not great though no sign of repolishing. The veneers have faded a little and the front has lost some of its original patina. No sign of woodworm. Overall a beautiful chest in need of tender restoration.
A late 17th Century marquetry chest of two short over three long drawers, on bracket feet, inlays of birds and flowers to top, sides and drawer fronts, 96cm wide/see illustration Condition Report: Top with split, lifting veneer, both sides cracked, small patch of parrot veneer missing, drawer front condition good with only minor blemishes. Drawers run smoothly, on later bracket feet. The locks appear to be original but the key hole escutcheons appear to be later.
Britains Soldiers. Sudanese Infantry from Set No.116, 6 marching at the trail, in bright blue uniforms with cream trousers and bright blue gaiters. Together with 2 Prussian Hussars from Set No.153 and 3 Turkish Cavalry from Set No.71, all with their lances. Casting date 12.2.1903 - c.1908 - 1924 - bay GC - paint patch losses to left side shoulder, front saddle and horse (2) left leg and black - paint patch losses to chest, left shoulder, paint losses front legS and other small chips - QGC-GC. These are rare figures with their dark blue 'pelisse'( a fur -trimmed jacket worn nonchantly from the left shoulder and their carbines suspended from the hip (but part of the main casting). £80-120

County of London (Middlesex, the Duke of Cambridge's Hussars) 4 troopers on cantering horses casting date 12.2.1903 with long carbines and officer on rearing horse with straight sword arm. All Hussar Busby plumes intact. (Opie Grt. Book of Britains P247). Troopers - some paint errors and small patches - patch on officer's horse's right shoulder otherwise GC. Non - Britains Box with repro label. £100-150
