Style of George Morland, oil painting on canvas, horse, goat and dog. 60 cm x 74 cm, framed. CONDITION REPORT: The painting is not signed. There has clearly been a rip or tear in the picture indicated by a rectangular patch to the rear of the canvas. There is also overpainting corresponding with the patch over the rear legs of the horse and back flank. The overpainting and repair is reasonable but is visible on close inspection. Other than this the painting is in generally original unrestored condition and in our opinion could do with a clean. There are no other visible holes in the canvas and the crazing to the surface is not particularly bad. There is some loss to the paintwork around the extremities of the canvas and in particular in the bottom left hand corner.

The drawers are in generally good condition with one minor cockbead repair to the left hand drawer which has been done professionally and a small veneer repair to the bottom right hand corner of the left drawer support. The centre column and legs are all in good order with no issues. The castors are very dirty and have lost their original lacquer but are original and sound. The table does not really require any repair or restoration but could do with a light clean.
