Ricketts (Charles de Sousy, artist and art collector, 1866-1931) Autograph Letter signed to the actress Stella Patrick Campbell, daughter of Mrs Patrick Campbell, 1p., 4to, Lansdowne House, Holland Park, [1921], giving precise instructions on how to move on stage to show the costume he has designed to maximum effect, "When you bring on Tyltis coat, keep it hidden by your cloak, it makes a dull patch against you and it is better 'Theatre' that we should only see it when he puts it on", with a PS, "I have praised you to Barker, Sutro, Collins, Edward, Grossmith", and with a watercolour sketch of Campbell's dress, folds, slightly browned. ⁂ Pencil inscription by Campbell, "From Charles Ricketts. Notes on how to use the exquisite dress he designed for me as 'Light' in the Betrothal. 1929."

A PAIR OF VICTORIAN SEATED SPANIEL SPILL VASES, (restored), heights approximately 34cm, together with three pairs of late 19th and 20th Century seated Spaniel figures with frit and sprigged decoration to their coats, heights approximately 17cm and 13cm (8)condition: One of the smallest dogs has a crack through a back leg, next size larger – one has a restored front foot, the second largest – one has chipped front foot, the other from the pair also has a chipped front foot and a firing fault, largest spill vase dogs – the right hand has restoration to the rim, paint loss to the nose, firing crack to the side and glaze loss to green patch by feet, gilding worn, left hand dog has firing crack to top of head, gilding worn and crazing and staining to both dogs.

Patch repair to front hem 3cm square, and at rear hem 8x2cm. 8cm split here also.·Cotton gown: 9cm split to centre front bodice and at left cuff along whiteworked edge approx. 7cm. Two triangular splits/cuts in front skirt, 4cm split in whitework at front hem and scattering of small holes. Small darned repairs at rear hem. Fraying along shoulder seam edges.·Satin gown or under-dress: hole and 2 small splits to bodice front, silk is starchy to handle - probably washed and ironed! 2cm diam hole and small split to rear hem. Faint soil mark around seat area. Overall fresh appearance.

An oak cased 30 hour longcase clock, the square brass dial with a silvered chapter ring signed 'Rich'd Lorve, Newport', with a long rectangular heavily carved door and plinth base, height 208cm. Condition report: Case needs a bit of cleaning and attention, the only obvious repair is a rectangular patch to the right side of the case.
James Bond 007. Gilbert James Bond's Aston Martin as seen in 'Goldfinger' and 'Thunderball', 1965. The tinplate battery operated car includes James Bond and villain figures. Battery compartment is mostly clean, small patch of corrosion to inside of flap, some paint wear to figure heads, but otherwise VG. Box is G+, a nice bright example, but has some creases, scuffs and small tears and one surface tear has been repaired with glue. Includes instruction sheet and a tag.

Ushak carpet, west Anatolia, late 19th/early 20th century, 12ft. 4in. X 12ft. 7in. 3.76m. X 3.84m. Overall wear with corrosion to dark brown in places; small repairs; small fabric patch verso lower end of field; losses to both ends (now stopped) fabric tape in places to left side verso. Completely plain field faded down to a soft pale colour with slightly pink overtones; wide ivory main border of large palmette design in green and sharp, deep yellow; yellow secondary border and yellow narrow inner guard. A quite spectacular design with soft lustrous wool and soft handle. Provenance: This carpet has been in the present owner's family from around the end of the 19th century.
