A ropetwist chain necklace and bracelet, with textured interlocking links, the necklace to a pierced scrolled clasp, 41cm long, the bracelet with a lobed barrel clasp, 22cm long, 61g grossCondition Report: The bracelet and necklace were originally a longer chain, there solder to the ends from resizing, the pierced scrolled clasp has a later added loop, and the tongue has been repaired. There are a couple of splits to links, but they are difficult to find due to the nature of the interlocking links, some pulls to links. The pierced clasp has some losses to the decoration. A late 19th/early 20th century mahogany D-end gateleg fold-over tea table to turned tapering legs, 74 x 91 x 45cm. CONDITION REPORT Overall good but used condition, top has several light surface scratches commensurate with age. Light surface scratching to the folded surface. There is a very slight patch repair to the right hand side and a further minor split to the back edge on the right hand side. A further small split slightly further away from the hinge on the left hand side. The fold-over surface is in good condition, with some scuffing to the front left lower section. There are minor splits to the veneer on the frieze. The front right leg is sat a t a very slight angle and both of the gate legs are functioning correctly. The only significant damage to be addressed being the scratching to the top surface.
INDISTINCTLY SIGNED; a 19th century oil on canvas titled 'In the Old Rectory Grounds Hanforth', depicting a gardener tending to vegetable patch, a lady and a farmer walking on a path, the farmer with cattle, with trees and buildings in the distance, indistinctly signed, 49 x 75cm, framed, also Austin Smith (early 20th century); a watercolour depicting Runswick Bay with small fishing boats or lobster boats within harbour, signed lower right, dated 1924, 26 x 36cm, framed and glazed, frame size 41 x 51cm (2). CONDITION REPORT The first painting has a split to the canvas at the top part.
A walnut crossbanded and herringbone inlaid linen press with pair of panelled doors above two short and two long drawers, to bracket feet, 188 x 117 x 55cm (af). CONDITION REPORT There is a noticeable split to the right hand side of the top section. There are further splits to the veneer, with a section on the left hand door starting to peel. The top section is lacking its brush in slides, further sun bleaching throughout. Patch repairs, further splits, etc.
Nelson / Napoleonic interest a circular, walnut patch box with tortoiseshell interior, the lid painted with naval battle scene and 'The Glorious First of June' the base with pin prick 'WOOD FROM THE OLD SEAHORSE' 7.5cm diameter. HMS Seahorse was a 24-gun sixth-rate frigate of the Royal Navy, launched in 1748. She is perhaps most famous as the ship on which a young Horatio Nelson served as a midshipman. The Glorious First of June 1794, also known as the Fourth Battle of Ushant, was the first and largest fleet action of the naval conflict between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the First French Republic during the French Revolutionary Wars.
A REGENCY ROSEWOOD BANDED MAHOGANY BOWFRONT CHESTOn splayed bracket feet, 92cm wide; 106cm highCondition report: Overall, good decorative and functional order. The drawers run smoothly and are well made. Minor shrinkage to pine bottom boards with a small gaps but this doesn’t impact upon the functionality of the drawers. Later handles. Some minor chips and small losses to the veneer in areas, most notbbly to the centre of the apron and left foot, as see in catalogue image. Other minor shrinkage and movement to timber in places, noticeably the two central drawers sit with a slight gap. Minor shrinkage and movement to veneers, with a slight crack to the back of the right side. The veneers are firmly stuck down to the top but there is some slight bumpiness to the right and left edge. A few small veneer patch replacements and repairs to the veneers around the drawers, as to be expected.
AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY DENTIST'S CABINETThe marble top over thirty five various drawers and five cupboards, 140cm wide; 108cm highCondition report: The marble top with wear, scuffs and scratches, numerous chips along the edges. The back left corner with a large patch of discolouration. See additional photographs on www.bellmans.co.ukSome drawers obviously with later replacement handles. One drawer with handle missing. Some quite stiff, mahogany lined drawers. Numerous small chips, scuffs and wear overall. The cupboard doors below with loose hinges; one top hinge loose, one door with missing upright and tear, as if ripped from lock panel. No key. One door shut/locked. Top of doors are impressed with a serial number. Bracket feet with many losses and loose elements which have been recently supported on new blocks of timber and screwed together to support and stablise. Surfaces are worn, dirty, dusty and faded. Overall requires restoration and repair.
A HEPPLEWHITE REVIVAL MAHOGANY FRAMED SQUARE BACK SOFAOn turned supports,198cm wide; 84cm highCondition report: A good, sturdy frame in overall good functional condition. Originally caned, with evidence to caning to the seat rails. Some areas of old worm evident to the seat rails, as to be expected. Some veneer cracks as to be expected with some reglued down and a few patch repairs to the back seat rail at the reverse. The arms have also been resecured with plug marks badly concealed but these would be easily disguised. Old screw holes and screw heads visible along the back rails of the seat back. The back left leg with a spliced repair or path to the side of the leg. Otherwise, light scuffs, scratches, some dents and minor veneer cracks commensurate with use and age.
A 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY EXTENDING DINING TABLE IN THE MANNER OF GILLOWSOn reeded supports, with four extra leaves, 131cm wide; 115cm long; 303cm long extendedCondition report: Please see www.bellmans.co.uk for additional photographs. Various later associated parts. The table is not stable when fully extend as it is missing the two adjoining screws to secure the pulled out rails. The brass fitments to receive the screws are later. The four leaves are more than likely associations with different pegs and tennons and does not easily slot together. Two are more than likely later, with slightly different grain and slightly lighter in weight. The leaves and ends could have also been trimmed down around the edges. One with a patch over the clip and split. Please see additional photographs on www.bellmans.co.uk with a different added. There are only five clips with this lot. Various scuffs and scratches overall to the leaves, the D ends a little more worn. Various chips to edges, some to the gadrooned edges. Some shrinkage to timber with related cracks in areas and lifting to the veneers in places.The side rails are loose and it has not been possible to fit them as they are missing screws to secure them to the underside. They look like they could fit but there are now holes underneath the table to indicate where they have fitted previously. The rails also look a little later in contrast to other parts of the table. There are ten legs with no obvious signs of missing legs.
A REGENCY MAHOGANY CONSOLE TABLEWith frieze drawer on scroll supports and paw feet, 122cm wide 86cm highCondition report: The top with wear, some movement to timber, various marks, chips and scuffs to the top commensurate with age and sue. Patch repair veneer, back left corner. The underside with wear, some old track marks and wax like area, the top has been off at some point and could be an associated. The back left bracket has been repaired with a brace support and spliced repair. Both sides missing a roundel to the back bracket. Scuffs and wear to other areas, wear to frieze drawer especially along the edges. Feet later. Holes to the horizontal back rail beneath table top, possibly top was secured to a wall. The table is relatively secure and joints are not loose.

Nathaniel Brown (fl.1742-1771)Portrait of the Reverend Mr Simpson of Coventry, half length, in clerical robes, in a library;Portrait of his wife, seated half length, in a brown dress, white lace bonnet and holding rosesa pair, one inscribed 'Nathl. Brown pinxit 1742', the other 'N Brown pinxit 1742', oil on canvas91 x 71cm (2)Condition report: Both paintings are in oil on canvas and are unlined. The edges of the canvas on the portrait of a Gentleman are failing, the canvas has lost tension. There is a large tear at the lower edge with a surrounding deformation. The portrait of a Lady also has smaller tears and punctures to the canvas; one at the top edge has been repaired from the reverse with a canvas patch. The paint layers on both works have areas of raised, flaking paint in the lower sections with scattered losses. The thicker passages of paint flesh have developed networks of age cracks which appear very dark. The varnish layers have degraded, as well as becoming dark and yellowed the varnish is also losing saturation and turning opaque, this is evident in the gentleman’s jacket.
